Mark, "Pronger is known for stuff like this" is exactly why he was suspended. You said it was "not really as bad as they are making it out to be". Did you see Richard Zednik almost bleed to death on the ice because of a skate blade? Ever see the Clint Malarchuk incident? Isn't Corey Perry out for 6 weeks because he was cut by a skate blade? Skates are incredibly dangerous, and can end careers (or lives, in a worst case scenario). And you know what the difference between the 3 incidents I mentioned and Pronger's is? Pronger's actions were deliberate, while all 3 of those players were injured accidentally. So don't tell me that it's not that bad, because Pronger could have seriously injured Kesler.
Unfortunately, these actions are going to catch up with Pronger one day. Someone in the future (most likely a fringe player) is going to take a run at him and cheap shop him, and end his career. I won't shed any tears, but it would be a shame to have it all end because he was too much of an idiot to keep his emotions in check and play within the rules of the game. Pronger has no respect for anyone on the ice, and that is why he is dangerous.
