I will say God him self if there is one does not hate Tigers as much as the NCAA tourney commitee. Gregg Doyel is the first on CBS to admit it and in a way Mr. Parrish commented about it, but the fact that Memphis is continually put in these situations should only be fuel to the Tigers/Calipari's fire.

Those of you people who watched the whole selection show say one of the commitee members comment about how it kept Georgetown and Duke from being in a situation where those teams would have home state advantage. Thats not all it is not like the commitee could not avoid putting Texas in line to go to Houston, think about it Tennessee could have easily swapped spots with Texas. If Tennessee would have been placed in the same bracket as Memphis it would have been a rematch of the highest/most watched game in ESPN history. That is a win win for who ever is broadcasting that game. Please give the Memphis Tigers some love you NCAA commitee schmos, this would have only been good for the tourney.

Yeah it should be fuel to Memphis and Calipari, just like it should have been last year and the year before right? I guess someone diluted that fuel for the last three years by pi$$ing in Calipari's gas tank, because they can't get it done. Quit whining about Texas in Houston. They're not that good, and Memphis (if they can take care of their own business) won't even see them in the Tourney. Texas will get beat down by Stanford and Memphis will get swallowed up by my Pitt Panthers, proving yet again that the Big East and Pac 10 were the 2 best conferences this year.

Pitt started the year 11-0 with a win over Duke (a complete Bull $hit #2 seed) at MSG before two starters were injured. One is lost for the season, the other one returned a couple of weeks ago and got back into shape just in time for the Big East Tourney. We had a rough road in our Conference Schedule without the best Point Guard in the Big East (Levance Fields) and our #2 scorer (Mike Cook) out. We got our point guard back and just beat a #5 seed, a #3 seed, and a #2 seed three straight days to win the Big East trophy.

So Memphis let your fire be fueled by the media, Jamie Dixon's got his one eyed serpent ready to drain it in your gas tank again.

Too bad their free-throw shooting will eventually dump a big bucket of water all over that fire.

I'm calling it right now: Memphis shoots less than 60% from the line and loses a close one in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8.

Just how many times have those MEAN  Panther's gone to the ELEATE EIGHT in the last 5 years???  In case you haven't figured it out yet,  the E.E. are the BEST 8 teams in the country.  Tell Jamie to stick his one eyed serpent where the sun don't shine.

Love, MEMPHIS

Not to say it couldn't happen but take a look at the C-USA tournament. Forget the lack of competition but Memphis shot close to 70% at the free throw line. You have got to let go of that wonderful stat as the sole reason Memphis won't make it. Let's face it, this is the tournament so one bad night shooting or a hot shooting opponent will send you home.

What I see is that the overall #1 seed (NC) and the second #1 seed (Memphis) somehow got the back side of the "S" curve. If the seeds hold out, here's what Memphis gets:

2nd round: SEC West Champions (MSU)

3rd round: Big East Tournament Champions (Pitt)

4th round: Big 12 Regular Season Champions (Texas) with a home court

Not whining or complaining, if we play to our potential then we win and there are no excuses in March.

GO TIGERS!
