heheh, Ken Bone not only has a great name, he's a very good coach. He was the head coach at Seattle Pacific University for a number of years and spent the 4 seasons prior to heading to Portland State as an assistant at the University of Washington, including the Huskies' year as a #1 seed in the tourney. He was widely respected as an assistant at UW. Portland State has been a Division I school for 12 years and prior to this season had never reached the conference tourney championship game, much less the NCAAs. In less than 3 seasons Bone has turned a losing program into a conference champ and NCAA tournament team. If he were a few years younger (he's 48, i think), I'd say that he was in pace for coaching at a large program someday.
I'm a Washington alum and I'm proud to see Ken doing so well. Congrats to Portland State for a great season.
