Another early post-season exit!

I'm wondering if you guys are as frustrated as I am that we can't win a game in the post-season? Even with Jaycee Carroll, the all time leading scorer for USU and the second highest scorer in Utah college basketball history (next to Keith Van Horn), we still cannot make it out of the first round!

I would understand a loss in the NCAA first round, but we didn't win the tournament. I understand that there are still some good teams in the NIT, but when will we be able to win a post-season game?

I really had some high hopes for this team with Jaycee, even though we did only have 3 seniors coming back. I really thought that we would have a chance to make the NCAA or at least do some damage in the NIT. Just a disappionting end to Jaycee's amazing career.

Hopefully we will be able to build on the returning class, especially the freshman Newbold and Wesley. I just think it will be extremely difficult to replace Carroll. Although Pooh Williams did play good in the NIT. Anyway, better luck next year I guess.

Seems like a lot of teams (the Aggies included) kind of cash it in during the NIT.  Remember a couple of years ago when we were the number one seed, and lost our first game?

I guess it's a hard mental hurdle to overcome, hoping to get into the NCAA...then being let down by an NIT invite.  Kinda hard to blame the guys, in my opinion.

Yeah I'm pretty frustrated too.  We are a good team, but I think we focus too much on 20+ wins.  I would rather win 18 and play some tough opponents so that when we go post season we are ready.
