All the talk of officials whistles (or lack thereof)favoring UCLA is masking the absolute fact they have incredible heart and ability to just will themselves to win.
Every team has tough games in the tournament. UCLA had a very difficult time with Texas A&M due to the physicality of the game and the length and depth of the Aggies. Given four days to prepare for WKU and get a tad more healthy will do the Bruins wonders.
UCLA is comfortable playing any style, tempo, road, home, all that matters is winning - and in March, surviving.
I respect the season WKU had and they've beaten two good teams to reach this point. Bruwins is correct in WKU's RPI rating, they won the Sun Belt tournament or would not have been an at large selection. All that said, the Hilltoppers are in the Bruins way, the guard play will negate itself, this game will be dominated down low by UCLA. It will be hard to run taking the ball out of the nets. There is rather large step up in talent going from Drake and San Diego to UCLA it will be felt Thursday evening. Good night Hilltopper Nation you're attacks on the message board were funny at first, but now, yawn, they are growing cumbersome. UCLA 78 - WKU 61
