This line is as comical as it is unfounded. If the Yankee hitters are so overrated, then why are they consistently in the top 3 in runs scored, batting average, and every other major statistical category? And who exactly are these below average pitchers? Is it Chien-Ming Wang, who has more wins than any pitcher in MLB over the past two seasons? Are you trying to say that Hughes and Joba and Kennedy are below average prospects? Hell even Andy and Moose are average on their worst day, and above average on most!
And even if the Red Sux finish first, then who are you putting second? Toronto? You think old Frank Thomas, broken Scott Rolen, and the bust of 2007 Vernon Wells aren't over-rated hitters. Roy Halladay had an ERA over 4 last year, and Burnett just can't stay healthy, and the rest of their staff is average at best.
Thanks for being the ignorant sox fan that you are, and making it that much easier to root for the Yankees.

Wang? are you kidding? era over4.5 , post season record is terrible didn't cleveland smoke him twice? I think his era was almost 20.0 Joba the Hutt. Hughes havn't done anything (sorry joba blew that game in cleveland last year) Moose almost caught the axe last year and pettite can't stand up without slipping a disc.

soxfan....What have the Yanks won? The Yankees have won 26 World Championships, including 6 during my life time. 39 AL Pennants, and 9 consecutive division titles prior to last year's fluke due to a bad start.

Wang won both of his first two career starts in the playoffs against Anaheim and Detroit, so he has been a winner in the post-season. Pettitte's back is in much better shape than Beckett's is, and he's a damn sight healthier than Schill.
And don't even try to talk like Joba just went out and blew the game in Cleveland. Those conditions were absolutely ridiculous! That loss was 100% on Torre and the coaching staff for not requesting a delay. The umps even said after the game that had one of the managers said something they would have stopped the game.
And as far as what have Hughes and Kennedy done...how about this. During the Yankees historic run to the playoffs last September Kennedy was 1-0 with a 1.89 ERA and 15 K in 19 innings, Hughes was 3-0 with a 3.26 ERA and 22Ks in 29 2/3 innings. Not bad for a couple of kids on their first go around in the bigs.

Now stop being wishful and ridiculous. The reality is the Red Sox have still only won one division title in the last thirteen years and wouldn't have even won the division last year if the Yankees didn't take the season off until June. Say what you want about the Yankees in the playoffs, they haven't won in eight years and their big time players have choked, but to put them in third place like that just shows you are an ignorant Red Sox fan, not one of the knowledgeable ones. You should worry about your own team. Beckett is already hurting and this goes more along with his career than last year. Your own lineup is also getting a little bit old there don't you think. Lowell had a career year last year and isn't going to do the same. Varitek is a leader but let's face it he is getting over the hill. And after Beckett you have a lot of your own question marks in the rotation. Finally, let's not forget the Red Sox didn't make the playoffs only two years ago not the Yankees so stop running your mouth about things you know absolutely nothing about!!
