Top of the morning men.  The real action is back.  I was wondering if anyone happened to read the last Maxim edition?  Danny Sheridan gave a small breakdown of stats for the Big Dance for the last four years.  I doubt it will have any impact on what you guys are gonna do, but I thought it to be a bit interesting.

Sweet 16-

He says the cinderellas usually meet their maker here.  Underdogs coming off an upset win in round 2(um, Davidson?) are 9-22-1 vs. the spread.  On the other hand, teams coming off double-digit wins in round 2 are 18-9 vs. the spread.

Elite 8-

Sheridan says don't bet on anyone favored by 1.5 pts. or more here, as these teams are 3-11-1 vs. the spread.  He blames the short weekend turnaround.  I guess if they're good enough to make it this far, take the pts.?

So, you might have found this interesting, or a complete waste of thread space, but I had to get my mind on bball early.

Something people may want to consider during the Tennessee vs. Louisville game is assist to turnover ratio.  Tenn and Louisville play similar styles.  Both pressure the ball and both like to get out and run.  That is going to place a big emphasis on taking care of the basketball.  Tenn avg. 18 assists to around 12 to's per game.  That is about a 1.5/1 ratio... not bad.  Louisville on the other hand avg. 14 assists to 13 to's per game.  About 1/1.  This stat tells me that Tenn handles the ball better and passes better.  That comes in handy when facing pressure defense.

They’re another big favorite in this one. Washington State is only 1-5 ATS the last six times they have been an underdog.

Louisville vs. Tennessee
#2-seed Tennessee has not looked overly impressive since the post-season began, failing to cover in both Conference tournament games and in their opening round matchup vs. American. The only time they paid off for their backers was last week, when they were a 4.5-point favorite vs. Butler but were taken to overtime by the scrappy underdog, where the Vols were able to pull off a 5-point win and cover by a half-point.
Louisville on the hand has been very impressive on their recent run, going 11-2 ATS in their last 13… and that’s why they are a small favorite as a lower seed.

WEST REGIONAL FINALS - PHOENIX, AZ

Davidson vs. Wisconsin
