EAST REGIONAL SEMIFINALS - CHARLOTTE, NC
Thursday, March 27
North Carolina vs. Washington State #1-seed North Carolina came in to the NCAA Tournament on a cold streak when it came to covering the pointspread (1-5 ATS heading in), but were covering machines in their two tourney matchups, easily handling the big double-digit lines. They’re another big favorite in this one. Washington State is only 1-5 ATS the last six times they have been an underdog.
Worth Noting: The Tar Heels have produced 8 overs and 2 unders in their last 10 games.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: North Carolina is -8 and the Over/Under is 142.5
Louisville vs. Tennessee
#2-seed Tennessee has not looked overly impressive since the post-season began, failing to cover in both Conference tournament games and in their opening round matchup vs. American. The only time they paid off for their backers was last week, when they were a 4.5-point favorite vs. Butler but were taken to overtime by the scrappy underdog, where the Vols were able to pull off a 5-point win and cover by a half-point.
Louisville on the hand has been very impressive on their recent run, going 11-2 ATS in their last 13… and that’s why they are a small favorite as a lower seed.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: Louisville is -2.5 and the Over/Under is 146.
WEST REGIONAL FINALS - PHOENIX, AZ
Thursday, March 27
West Virginia vs. Xavier
#7-seed West Virginia is a small favorite over the higher seed Xavier (#3-seed) in this Thursday matchup.
Worth noting: The last 10 times a #7, #8 or #9-seed has played in the Sweet Sixteen they have been a profitable play for bettors, going 8-2 ATS.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: West Virginia is -1 and the Over/Under is 135.5
Western Kentucky vs. UCLA
Western Kentucky is on a 7-0 ATS run heading into this game, while the Bruins have not been as good to those betting on them, as they sport a very mediocre mark of 4-6 against the spread their last 10.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: UCLA is -12.5 and the Over/Under is 132.5
MIDWEST REGIONAL FINALS - DETROIT, MI
Friday, March 28
Villanova vs. Kansas
‘Nova finds themselves, somewhat unexpectedly, in the Sweet Sixteen and one of the biggest underdogs of this round. They’re getting 11.5 points from #1-seed Kansas, who have steamrolled both opponents in their first two games (winning by 24 points and 19 points respectively). In their last nine games, only one team has managed to stay closer than 10 points to Kansas, and that was Texas A&M who they beat by six in the Conference Tourney.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: Kansas is -11.5 and the Over/Under is 142.5
Davidson vs. Wisconsin
Wisconsin has been good to bettors the last few weeks, as they come into this matchup on a run of 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 starts.
Davidson boasts a record this year of 5-0 ATS the five times they have been an underdog, including the upset of Georgetown last weekend.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: The line is Wisconsin -5, with an Over/Under of 126.5
SOUTH REGIONAL FINALS - HOUSTON, TX
Friday, March 28
Memphis vs. Michigan State
Memphis keeps moving forward but they’ve been an awful team to bet on. They’re 1-4 ATS in the post-season (0-2 ATS in both NCAA Tournament starts) and are a lousy 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 starts.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: Memphis is -4.5 and the Over/Under is 134.5
Stanford vs. Texas
This has the makings to be the best matchup of the Sweet Sixteen. Texas is a small favorite and get the benefit of playing in their home state, but they’re going to have their hands full with the twin towers Stanford relies on, Brook and Robin Lopez.
With Noting: Stanford has a run of 6 overs and 1 under going in their last seven starts. The Total on this game is set at 135.
SPORTSBETTING.COM Line: Texas is -1.5 and the Over/Under is 134.5.
