They are our nieghbors because if their country (along with Mexico) had any real value to the U.S we would make them a state, in the union. We got as far as Maine and said "who in the hell would live in this cold weather lets give it to the Brits and the French"

Come on people. We have great neigbors in both Mexico and Canada. In fact with the drop in US currency, those of us who saved all those Canadian dollars and coins we got in change from visits over the years made a nice little profit!
I enjoy my visits to both contries, have relatives in Canada and have time shares down in Mexico.

The U.S. tried to annex Canada for a long time...but could not do it. The territory is large but not much is there...some really good natural resources though (timber).
As far as the free healthcare....if it was so good why do rich people and the leader of Canada come to the United States when they are sick? Because the capitalist idea really makes medicine better. The competition and the high prices keep the technology and medical education and ideas at the most sophisticated.
Canada...oh yeah...they have 2 W.S. championships from the Blue Jays...thats aboot it.

Like I said I know this a joke, but why do these threads have to be made? Americans accuse us of being egotistic and arrogant, but what do you expect when we have to hear stuff like this everyday? All you're doing is creating hate between friends (we'll, we should be friends at least).

..you know...historically....if the english hadnt won the french-indian war....and instead it would have been the french taking over canada.....then i think it would be a little more easy to hate.....after all.....we americans make fun of all things french.....we call them frogs....make fun of their silly berets......some people call french fries...liberty fries cause we hate the french.....
...canada is basically america jr......they look like us.....speak almost like us......hell....they are us!.....but i dont see how we could even hate them.....

I understand this is a joke (I've said that 3 times now) but if I were to start the same thread but about America, I'd get blasted like no tomorrow. When you make, it's just bustin chops. I can take a joke, but not everyone can and all you're doing is creating hate bewteen 2 allies. Also, my name is not pierre, I do not speak French, I hate the French just as much if not more than most Americans. So even as a joke, don't ever refer to me as French.

Isn't this one obvious? On the island the professor is a babe magnet (with Howell, Gilligan, and the Skipper as competition?). Therefore he can have BOTH Mary Ann and Ginger. Off the island he is just a loser professor who couldn't get either of them...
Man that was easy...oh yeah and he was too busy making radios, and other gadgets to make life on the island better.
