San Francisco was a very solid team in the nineties, but not because of Cerrato.  How he can take any credit for this stuff is beyond me.  Camen Policy, Eddie DeBartelo, and George Siefert were the brains behind most of their good personel moves.  Not to mention our "Founding Father" Bill Walsh was still in an advisory position when all those decisions were being made.

Cerrato is the last remaining scapegoat that Dan Snyder has left between him and some angry fans.  He will be fired in less than two years when the Redskins fall short of the hype again.  This guy will not save your franchise.

Cerrato and Snyder are like the Cancers you can't get rid of.  Seriously....the best they could do was bring in Gibbs to fix stuff and they even screwed that up with their meddling and horrible mismanagement.   Unfortunately for my Redskins, the best years are gone.  The only hope is that Snyder will be hurting for money after his Six Flags debacle and sell the team soon.

Agreed.  San Francisco, Dallas, New York, and Washington were dominant in the 80's and 90's simply because they spent way more to win.  Cerrato was just along for the ride in San Francisco.  What has he done since the Salary Cap Era?

If he has the Midas Touch, how come he hasn't had a continuous winner?

Snyder has to be patient and build through the draft.  He has to stop trading draft picks for players who are past their prime.  I'm sure that the Redskins' fans would be understanding while the franchise has a few losing seasons, if they start building for the future.

So it was Cerrato who created the Niners dynasty? I can only assume it happened about the same time that Al Gore was busy creating the internet. It's all becoming clearer now. Anyone drinking this Kool-aide article?

I guess this means we can start blaming Walsh for selecting Druckenmiller? It's funny the way most of you clowns like to give only credit to some exclusively, and only blame to others. That's not really the way it works - even your heroes screwed up. No one is perfect. And do a little research and find out what Vinny's responsibilities were in the 49ers organization. You might be a bit surprised.

I'm not defending Vinny, but if you are going to be critical, at least have the integrity to know what you are talking about.

I am one of the biggest Skin's fans that there is and even I think Cerrato is just a "yes man" to Snyder. Obviously the guy who wrote this article doesn't know the first thing about the Redskins current front office situation. This is a joke. As much I would like to believe that Cerrato is going to lead the Skin's to the promised land, I know that it is just not realistic!
