As a Nova fan I think our chances are very slim this game. Kansas is very experienced and more talented. Nova has no seniors (not much experience) and has battled injuries with their big men all year. Most blogs Ive read I like the Jayhawks fans responses b/c they haven't been cocky at all and not got ahead of the game for Sunday; and after tonights game, probably Kansas will be the winner, I will root for them to win it all. That is Nova's thing, Nova lost in the sweet 16 to UNC (shitty ass call in 2005) and in 2006 lost in the Elite 8 to Florida, all those teams won it all after they beat Nova.

Hey twocoach, I think you are getting too cocky and ahead of yourself with this  "Give me two good reasons that Villanova can beat KU, besides KU forgetting to go to the arena and KU forgetting to take the game seriously." Nova has great outside shooting and great defense. I think Kansas will win by 15 points, but dont say that Nova doesn't have a shot. I lost tons of money on UConn two years ago b/c I said the same thing about George Mason. These are one game eliminations not multiple game series. Thats why they play the game.

Good luck to Kansas, even tho we need a miracle and most of the luck. And if you guys play Wisconsin, please kick their butts, I cant stand their obnoxious fans that still cry about not getting the 3 seed. So I guess the Badgers fans would have rathered play Xavier in the West then Davidson in the sweet 16??

I meant about them not getting the 2 seed. In which Duke got the 2 and didn't deserve.*

No one doubts the Jayhawks talent.  But Kansas is pitiful when it comes to physical games.  They wilt year in and year out when the other team is tough and physical and the game is called fairly on both sides.  With that said, if Nova plays determined and gets rough and the calls don't favor the Jayhawks (which happens all year long, so it usually negates the other teams toughness), then Kansas will get beat.  KU is loaded with freaky talent but they've got absolutely no toughness.  It's been that way all year.  Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Texas....all games were called even on both sides and every team outmuscled the jayhawks.  Don't back down Nova...take it to em.

Thanks for jinxing the Hawks Doyel.  I am a huge KU fan, but until they prove it to me, I am wary of everyone...Nova included.  I still have nightmares about Bucknell and Bradley...

Nothing that Kansas has did in the tourney the las three years can even say they will "rule anything". They've been big disappointments the last couple of years. They have the softest player i've ever seen in Sasha Kahn. This will be a close one with Nova pulling an "upset".

Ramsfan good to see you on here making stupid predictions and comments that won't come true, but the good thing about you is you were on here saying this before the UNLV game and you'll be on here saying it before the Wiscy game. You never let the old foot in the mouth slow you down, it's kinda humerous to me and appreciate you for that. Kahn is soft, lol! KU will make their 5th elite 8 in the last 7 tourneys after tonight and be the only program that has done that over the last 7 tourneys so give up on the whole KU sucks in the tourney talk it doesn't work.

The KU 95-96 team was better then this years team IMO, but two things they weren't undefeated when they lost to Zona and losing the eventual NC's is not a bigger upset then losing to a 12 seed that has no shot a winning the title.

I'll give you two good reasons twocoach.  One, the Kansas players are just as arrogant as the fans.  It's annoying.  Two, when they find themselves in a battle, they wilt faster than Eastwood without Viagra.

Well, doylette, I guess this is my big "F-U" since it wasn't a slaughter, unless of course you consider every other friday night game a medieval knights' massacre of innocent peasants.  In all honesty, I didn't expect Nova to pull this one off.  However, if CBS cans Dan Rather for political ideology, then you should be canned for your sporting unprofessionalism.  Double technical on toylette.  From a U.S. Marine Corp National Scholar Athlete to a geek-nerd-thinks-he-knows-everythin
g-about-sports-but-can't-play-anything-but-duck-pin-bo
wling goof like you:  what sportswriter disses a sweet 16 team like that?  You should have your house foreclosed, your wife leaving you (she already has the hots for Emile Hirsch and watches Into the Wild every night), and your boyfriend ditching you for more time in front of the tv with Gray's Anatomy (he has every series so I'm told).  Boy, it sure must be a crappy time to work for CBS.   By the way, the count is 4,328 boycots of watching continued CBS coverage of the NCAAs, and that's in less than 24 hours (go ESPN!: the bid price for coverage next year should be dropping).  So I'll end this rambling discourse with another simple "F-U," doylette.

catfan32,

I just want people to base their arguments on facts. when they find themselves in a battle, they wilt faster than Eastwood without Viagra. Maybe I got a little carried away with my comments, but as it turned out, this game was over at the 10:00 mark of the first half. My point has always been, that if KU executes as they have shown they are capable, they shouldn't find themselves in a battle against most teams. Villanova put together a decent run in the tourney, and they should have a pretty good team next year with so many returning players. But KU doesn't lose that game unless they come out and lay an egg. Same with Sunday's game.

Like any KU fan, I consider myself to be knowledgeable about the game of basketball. I read an interview today with Bill Self basically saying that KU fans unreasona
