Hey Video,

Get a Clue would you? Stanford, UCLA, Wash St are in the sweet 16.. thats 3. Nova, Louisville and West Virginia from the Big East. Last I knew 3 was not more than 3. So please enlighten me on where you were going with that would you? So I was speaking of equality and well that is exactly what you have. I suggest you scrape together a few more brain cells so that you can actually bring your ideas together to form a real argument.

Ultimate,

I am glad you feel you are well educated. I am also glad that you spent so much time accentuating the ideal of carrying an extended vocabulary. Your first mistake is to even connect an argument in the context of sports with the accolades needed to be successful in practicing law. For your information I have three degrees and none of which relate to Syracuse Law. Why you bring up a completely different topic that is of infinitesimal value to this entire discussion lies far beyond my understanding. If it is a proverbial cookie you are looking for then you can have it. As a sports fan who enjoys engaging in logical discussion on an informal level I find it sad you feel you need to revert to trying to boast upon your title and education. I wish you the best in your future endeavors as a Bruin fan and the best of luck to Bruin nation. Again you should refrain from being so quick to judge someone who you know so little about. Assumption is a weakness and a minefield you don't want to walk into. So Ultimate Bruin you go about with your provincial victories and I will enjoy realizing the fool you are for assuming anything about who I am or what I have accomplished on this earth.

Oh and just for your entertainment I have a masters in finance, a B.S in mathematics and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Have a nice day. Maybe some day I will delve into law and become a Patent Lawyer. If that day shall come I would be glad to discuss such topics. For now I am much more interested in the topic of college basketball.

Cheers-

Dodd for some reason thinks no one has pressed us all season. Their press worked because the refs effectively took Collison out of the game. After we settled down, UCLA managed to get man advantage breaks on WKU constantly. As for more athletic team.. Xavier is a smaller team than WKU, how do you suppose they match up with UCLA? dumbass.

I'm bestowing good luck on the Musketeers by not picking them. Howland can learn by watching Xavier how to coach a team.

I saw a guy with a UCLA jacket in Joisey yesterday so I beat him up and carjacked him. All ruins are wumpers.

It is comical to see a Bruins fan actually "complaining about the refereeing". You have a negative balance in that department this year. Collison may be fast, but you have to realize Brazelton is even faster. He is a heck of a player that would have had a much more impressive year had he not started to finally figure out how to combine his speed and his scoring ability together. It has been one way or the other all year. The refs didn't impede anything in the WKU game. It was a choke job in a game that should have looked much more like the score of the first half. The refs were not the reason why a Sun Belt team nearly came all the way back to send UCLA packin'.

I very rarely respond to these blogs because it turns into personal attacks on the other person's favorite team but I like what JD had to say in this message so I decided to respond.  I am a UCLA fan that lives near the Philadelphia area so I know what it is like to deal with fans that go crazy over every little thing and turn their backs on their teams(Yes I am talking to you Eagles, Philies, and Flyers fans).  I also don't want to gaurentee a UCLA championship especially the way that we have been playing lately.  How dumb would I look and how much crap would I take if they get knocked off in the Elite 8 or FInal Four, or even the championship game for that matter.

Obviously we dont want to be playing Xavier or WVU, but at this juncture of the tourney name me a team you would want to play...Texas, Memphis,UNC, Lville, Kansas, and even Davidson, do you think we would have an easier time against any one of the remaining teams.  You are right UCLA has flaws, but every team does.  They adjust to these flaws, exploit yours, and are clutch when it comes to crunch time.  They have a top 5 coach, a top 5 point guard, and a top 5 big man in the country.  Their best NBA prospect might be Russell Westbrook and to say they lack depth is a lack of knowledge of UCLA basketball.  They have a center on the bench that played in the last two final fours, they found a steal this tourney in Keefe, and they are still missing their best perimeter shooter in Michael Roll.  Defensively we are still one of the best and I can't wait to see what Howland and Collison has planned for the press that will and should be coming from Xavier.

The comment that bothers me is the officiating comment.  To say we had won three games that we had no business winning is out of line.  The game with Stanford was an iffy call, but you being a Syracuse fan should know that calls like that are made (ie Villanova had a game wrapped up when they called a foul on Villanova for barely touching the point guard from Georgetown who sunk both free throws to win with .3 seconds left), go back and look at that tape and tell me which call was worse.  The Cal game was more ridiculous to me.  I really dont have an argument for that one.  I myself think that the Cal player was fouled, but lets face it the shot Shipp made was almost impossible.  The A&M game the player that was fouled was in fact a 66% free throw shooter and there was no gaurentee that he knocks them both down.  True, there could be an offensive rebound, whatever who knows.  My point is that saying that they haad no business winning those games is ludacris.  They were in all of three of those games.  My point is UCLA finds ways to win.  Don't put the game in the official's hands, go out and beat them.  If those teams were up 4, 5 or 6 points those calls would not be remembered and those teams would have won.  UCLA finds ways to hang around and at the end of the game they are clutch.  So there you have it, no personal attacks just my opinion on this so called conspiracy theory of UCLA and officiating.
