Why does the public always have to make something out of nothing.  Why does everything have to be put under a microscope.  Why can't it just be a shot of two young successful people?  Not in a million years would I have looked at this cover and said "holy crap, this reminds me of King Kong!"

How bout I make up a stink and say that the magazine is sterotyping black men for being with white women?  How bout that?

And while we're at it lets stop all this crap about having not enough black QB's in the NFL or not enough black head coaches.

Do you ever here whining about not having enough black kickers in the NFL?

Do white groups complain that there are not enough white RB's in the NFL?

When Dungy and Smith went against each other in the SuperBowl so much fuss was made about the fact that this was the first time a black head coach had the chance to win a Superbowl.  What about just sitting and watching a FOOTBALL GAME and see who is going to bring home the Lombardi Trophy?

This November, we may have our first woman or black president.  In the long run I dont care who it is as long as they are the most qualified.  But since the world cannot look at things in this manor.  Lets get an African-American, Lesbian, Jew to get a nomination and vote her president and just shut everyone up.

So lets just this one time look at this cover one time like I did.

Ready.... here we go......

Wow! This is the kid who grew up across town from me, and the hot Victoria Secret girl who is dating the best QB in the NFL right now, who's only current flaw was that he went to Michigan.

See......That wasn't so hard was it

I actually thought the cover was great.  Badass athlete screaming with his arm around smiling hottie supermodel.  What's not to like?

Don't you get it by now, everyone needs to complain about everything. Instead of letting things be there is always a subliminal message, if people stopped worrying about stupid sh#t and worrying about there own lives and what they could do to make it better this world would be soooo much better. But they would rather find trivial sh#t to bitch about and cause issues.

Thank you for posting this.  I am sick and tired of hearing about  how there's not enough black coaches in college football and the stupidest ideas like giving schools extra scholarships who have black coaches.  It's nice to see that somebody else in this world likes to just watch the game, and not worry about the color of the people playing it.

I completely agree with postal38sp. I think it is ridiculous how people can claim that a picture like this is racist. I'd like to think that I'm a decent enough person to look past the color of Lebron's skin and realize that he is basically a badass. The problem is that the people who claim that this picture is racially charged are not able to look past the fact that Lebron is black, and to me, that makes them the racists.

considering 90% of professional black athletes and entertainers are married to white or non black women...i'd say this cover is normal for today's society....

while we're complaining....I want the NFL and NBA to reflect a more balanced version of society...in which case black men only being 10% of the population would only be 10% of the NFL and NBA....so let's see more 5'3" asians playing corner in the NFL and more 5'9" white guys playing center in the NBA....let's be more culturally sennnnnnnnnnnnsitive....and let's apply affirmative action to the NFL and NBA just like universities and companies have to.....cause that makes sense right?

I'm going to go and say you are all younger than forty. This whole "i'm sick of the race thing" started with the Reaganites. Problem is that white folk don't need to complain about the corrections to something their folk started (silence is complicity)  Study some literature, advertising, american history, art and study some hip-hop. You will see that picture in a different light. The younger folk (all flavors) don't care about where they came from and are going to be scared as hell when they finally see where they are headed.  If professional sports were actually about the game this stuff would not come up. NBA =Hollywood (mostly fake)  therefore the social implications are relevant whether  political blogging types agree or not. Regardless he looks like an idiot. Give me the Big O any day over these pretty boys.

Would this writer please have an original thought? I just saw something last week on ESPN.com by Jemele Hill complaining about the same Vogue cover...All this is doing is making mountains out of mole hills. Use your media platform for something that matters...not some magazine cover which no one in sports cares about! It's Vogue for crying out loud, not SI or ESPN the Mag!

DUDE:
There's an entire "race industry" out there ready to make sure there are "victims" and the need for (imagined) claims of grievance and reparations. Learn that, know that!
It's part of the multi-cultural and politically correct nonsense fed to us by academia and there acolytes through the Marxist-leaning press.
It's philisophical 'incorrectness' and wrong-headed thinking. Nobody is owed a thing.
