Coach K has just missed out on some top notch interior talent in the past few years. He was one of the leaders for greg monroe, he was in the top 3 for Patrick Patterson. Just because he didn't get 1 guy doesn't mean he's a poor recruiter. Nor is he a poor coach. I'm a Kentucky fan so this pains me to say this, but since 1999 Duke has been the most dominant program in college basketball, even over Florida who had 2 titles, simply because Duke has been consistently great for the past 10 years. The past 2 years have been somewhat down years, but most programs in the country would be thrilled to have a 6 and a 2 seed. Every program has a down year or 2, especially when you are dealing with such top notch talent as Duke has had because of early defections that are somewhat unpredictable. Duke will be back and in force, a few people are really overreacting.
oh and btw, duke is the only program in the nation to sign at least 1- 5 star player every year since 2002. And have tied for signing the most 5 star prospects in that time span with kansas. Every other program has had at least 2 years from 2002-2008 w/o a 5 star. I'll take that kind of consistency any day thank you.
