Anybody have any ideas about next year's starting lineup? I have been thinking about in the past week and I figure that the locks for the starting lineup are Stephen Curry, Andrew Lovedale, Max Paulus Gosselin, and Stephen Rossieter. That will give us a pretty big front line. The question then becomes who runs the point? If this role is given to Curry, I would expect Bryant Barr (The White Lobster) to step in at the two guard spot. However, it would be nice to have run the same offensive system with Curry coming off of three screens, but I am not sure if there is anyone besides Curry that is a good option at the point.

I wouldn't be surprised to see that starting line-up(that you metion) although I bet it gets shuffled throughout the season as the team tries to figure out its new identity. I like TWL coming off the bench (3pt specialist).. I see Mckillop and Bond getting considerably more playing time... and I wouldn't be surprised if either was starting by midseason. I also here good things about Ben Allison.   Given that Rossieter would really have to adjust his game if he started (no more 4 fouls in 8 minutes allowed), it would nice to continue to bring him off the bench given the intensity injection he brings to the floor. Will is also a possibility... although I guess he played more the 3 than the 2 this year (and I don't see him taking Max's spot). However, given his offensive potential, I could definitely see him having a breakout year... although I could also see him getting burried on the bench.  I guess it just depends how he takes his decreased role at the end of the season... as motivation or reason to give-up.

I'm interested in hearing more about Bond & Allison -- what kind of players are they & how good?  Can Bond run the point?  I like Rossiter but don't know if he's enough given the loss of Sander & Meno.  Also, what's the word on the new recruit, Alex Vouyoukas?  How good is he & are there any other recruits in the pipeline?

Curry, Max, Andrew, Rossiter, and another player to be determined (perhaps to be determined on a game-to-game basis)  Could be Will or Bryant at 2, though that might cause mismatches for us on defense.  Could be Brendan at the point if he's ready which would allow Steph to move back over to the two spot.

I heard a few days ago that Vouyoukas didn't get past admissions, so it appears that he might not be there next year.  I heard today that another HS senior named Frank Ben-Eze has Davidson on his short list.  He's a very well regarded recruit, so I hope there's some truth to that.

I just read that Ben-Eze was visiting Davidson this weekend.  From what I read, he would be a terrific addition -- hope it works out.  See http://blogs.tampabay.com/usf/

Apparently McKillop said publicly this weekend that Ben-Eze has narrowed his list to Davidson and Georgia Tech.  He was on campus again this weekend (which happened to be spring frolics).
