Will LSU finally get the monkey off their backs, get to the Championship game and go on to win it all or will they be stopped short again by Tennessee? Who do you think will win it all? If not LSU, who and why?
Living in Knoxville, I can once again say I am proud as hell of another great Title contender, Pat Head is the best coach in basketball, men or women-EVER! Time for a trip to Tampa to witness the best get better!
Gotta be good at something. Might as well be Women's basketball. Congrats to ya girls. Good game. Could've been different had my girls hit some freethrows.
Ok, so two championships are a "great team", three championships are a "dynasty" what do you call a team who has the chance to win 8 Championships...a monopoly?
Well, congratulations to the Vols. Once again they have denied LSU the chance at a National Championship, but what a game and what an ending. Tennessee is the best program in women's basketball. LSU is the best program that has never won a championship. I really hoped this year they would get their chance. I've got to pull for the SEC...so GO VOLS!!!
I'm not sure how your reply even remotely relates to what I said. Everyone knows Pat Summit and the Lady Vols are and always will be a legend in Women's SPORTS. Maybe She could give someone like, uh, lets see, Mr.Fulmer some advice. If you are implying that this is the greatest legacy in SEC sports, you might want to look at LSU's 90's baseball teams. Maybe look at Bama's numerous national football titles. I would call people like Pat Summit, Skip Bertman, and Paul Bryant legends in their own right. Sec is the most compeitive conference, and I hope Candace Parker isn't too beat up to finish off the Card. We know everytime these two teams play , it comes down to a basket or two. You watched the best game in the final four tonight, and don't forget it. You watched the game that determined who will be the National Champs, if Candace Parker is good to go for one more. Again, Congrats Vols!
You obviously didn't watch the first two games. She played as good tonight as the split games earlier in the season. Fowles has had pulled hamsritngs which she never complained about. She even cramped tonight a little in those hamstrings. Don't give me the shoulder crap. Both teams were beat up, and still played great. That's just like a Vol, win and still make excuses. Missed freethrows make better Crow than hurt shoulders and hamstrings. Everyone plays through pain.
If someone wouldn't have thrown their oranges in with the apples, I wouldn't have pulled out the coconuts. No undertone, just replying to the comment. I'd rather see my team get beat by an SEC team by 1 than get creamed by Rutgers.
That's just like a Vol, win and still make excuses. Missed freethrows make better Crow than hurt shoulders and hamstrings.
Teeehhhheeeee, just like an LSU fan assuming something that is not true. You can figure out if I care about the VOLs compared to watching them because I happen to live here.
Honestly, I fell into this game for two reasons, one- I like UT womens games only in the Final Four because that is usually the only time they are playing someone competetive and the other is I was too lazy to drive 30 minutes to the game.
Why is it whenever (mostly) when Tennessee wins anything its ...well our best player was having cramps...our best players dog just died...our best players mom just found out she has herpes...our best player blah blah blah. You cant compare Fulmer to Summit. Comparing basketball to collegiate football is another shortcoming in your argument. They are just different beasts. But seriously can anyone give Tennessee credit win they actually win? No more well...[insert retarded excuse for losing here]. Your team was bested not once but twice this year by a more talented team. But yeah I would say LSU was Tennessees greatest games this year. So congrats on that. I just wish they would have had the two teams in opposite brackets in the Big Dance to set up an all SEC Championship.
