If Lee, Westbrook and Byrd stay healthy they're fine without Sabathia. Don't know what happened to C.C. but he's pitching like he did in the playoffs last year. His value is dropping and he'll be shipped to a team desperate for pitching by the AS break.

I have a gut feeling that CC will be seeking out Shapiro and Dolan, and signing a contract before too long. I think he is struggling with the contract situation hanging over his head. He is smart enough to realize that if he keeps pitching like this his market value will go down drastically. So why not sign for a few million less with the team you are comfortable pitching for, rather than waiting for free agency when you could lose a whole lot more.

C.C. must be letting the pressure of a contract year get to him. Fausto will be the staff ace by mid-season at this rate. Maybe that's a good thing? Could his value really drop so much this year that the Tribe would have a shot at retaining him moving forward if he gets labelled as a pitcher who can't deal with pressure. ... just imagine how NY would treat him if he is already struggling under the gun in lil old Cleveland.
