What do you guys think we got two good recruits comin in this year and with Nelsons departure who do you think will take over. its gonna be real wild for duke this year, if you thought last year was crazy it think we got one more a comin regardless its gonna be exciting what do you guys think
my guess is the starting lineup will look like this

sf-henderson
pf-singler
c-zoubek
i think williams will end up starting more just because scheyer has done so well as and has shown a willingnes to be a sixth man.....hopefully coach k will lengthen his bench next yar and actually play 10 men significant minutes.....smith, scheyer, pocious(fingers crossed he can stay healthy), thomas, mcclure, and czyz all need to play at least twelve minutes a game.....thomas, mcclure and zoubek need to be in a rotation so that they can all focus on rebounding and defense(czyz needs to focus on this as well since his offense is limited at this point to hustle plays and putbacks)....the guards also need to be in a rotation so that we can focus on extending the defense...when we were at our best this last year we were forcing teams to start their offense way too far from the basket for their liking and forced alot of turnovers with the pressure...later in the year it seemed the guards sagged back a bit more most likely do to th fact that coach k shortened the bench and they became fatigued
I'm going to say neither Williams nor Czyz starts next year. Williams definitely has the talent to start from day one, but I think Scheyer will regain his starting SG role. Scheyer has the potential to be a big-time scorer and Duke needs someone like that to start. Czyz doesn't have a developed offensive game to help Duke this year. He will contribute defensively, grab some boards, and should find a place in the rotation.
I think who starts will depend on who shows up to training camp in good shape, hustles and shows Coach K that they can be consistent. I think the starting lineup is going to look like this:
PG- Paulus (Although at this point, I would pick Nolan Smith!)
SG- Scheyer (I do think Coach K is going to play Williams a lot though)
SF- Henderson
PF- Singler
C- Thomas (with rotation of McClure and Zoubek)
I'm hoping after this years experience, Coach K will learn to lengthen his bench for an ENTIRE season, not just the first half! We all saw how tired these guys were at the end of the year and their performance suffered as a result. Duke will have the talent to go 9-10 deep, but unless Coach K changes his philosophies on rotating players, we will end up suffering the same demise as this year. Pocius and this Olek kid should get a decent amount of time. Hopefully we'll have better results next year!! I still think Zoubek should have his scholarship revoked!!!
Yesterday Czyz again showed why he is such a highly regarded prospect, scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing nine rebounds to lead the U.S. All-Stars to a 123-85 victory over the Capital All-Stars in the Capital Classic high school all-star game.
Czyz may have a more polished (and Polish, ha,ha) offensive game than would appear. Our need is to have someone who does not face the basket as a forward. However, one more super-athletic body inside or out, a la Henderson, will do their team very well. Let's hope the supporting cast for our known starters will provide with the needed ingredients.
It doesn't matter who starts next year. Not until Duke brings in a quality big man will Duke have a chance at any title.
Right now Duke has NOTHING at the 5 spot.
Thomas is an underachiever who has the uncanny knack of making stupid plays at the most unopportune time of the game. Plus count how much time he spends on the floor FROM FALLING DOWN. This guy is terrible, and has no offensive game.
Zoubek is another stiff, who can't block shots or dunk for a 7'1" center.
Embarrassing.
No hope for next year either since not one recruit they brought in is bigger than 6'7".
You can't win a championship living on the 3 pt line. You have to have big men help.
My opinion is that Williams will see alot of playing time if he adapts to the college game.. "as we all know he should" I think coach K will continue to keep good ole' johnny as the sixth man.. Which I don't like..

I think nolan smith with get a lot of playing time this year... And the addition of Plumlee and Olek will take a little foul pressure off of thomas/zoubek/singler.. We should have an excellent regular season.. Im not worried about that .. Im worried about the Tourney!
