I think that Zoubek should have his scholarship revoked. Where did Coach K find this guy? I want to see some videos of him in high school because I'm starting to think he never even played basketball. Coach K probably found him on the street and just figured he was seven foot tall so he offered him a scholarship. That must be it. He has the most horrendous footwork i've ever seen from an adult that doesn't have cerebral palsy. He shouldn't have ever been offered a scholarship.

This guy is a lot better than you think. When you look at the numbers, he averaged nearly a point a minute and a rebound about every 2. So why does everyone get on this guys case?

We get on his case because he has not played well. Simple as that. He was recruited to Duke to be our center. He is NOT filling that role.
If he is "a lot better than you think" then why is coach k not giving him minutes?? Hmmm. Anybody can clearly see that as of the last game we played he was a liability.
btw.....lance thomas' only chance of living up to his billing is to put on some muscle and come out looking like sheldon williams. If he can't , then he's just a tall, spindly, guy that runns awkwardly up the court and picks up cheap fouls.

Coach K has a knack of not playing players when he should be playing them a lot more. Does the name Marty Pocius ring a bell? I know he was injured this year, but last year when Duke supposedly "had no depth" he had Pocius sitting on the bench and this guy can make an impact. I'm not saying I think Zoubek should get 25 minutes a game, I just wanna point out that Coach K has a knack of underutilizing his players

in the three games coach k actually played him 20 minutes zoubek averaged over ten points and 8 rebounds....suprisingly he also had a 1 to 1 assist to turnover ratio in those games....he just needs more pt

Zoubek's main problem is his foot work. Its not the best, he travels alot. He had tons of great looks last year and took too many steps or carried the ball.
The second problem is him finishing plays. There was a few times last year he would just flat out miss a easy shot.
If he would just get better on them two things he would be alot better and play more.

He Needs to grow a pair, he shouldn't try laying up a put back he should just dunk it. He needs to learn to plant his legs, don't stand straight up. maybe he should take up boxing just to train with his footwork and balance. I think right now, he sucks.... but at least maybe next year he could be our Cherokee Parks, average but good enough to help us inside.
