This is amazing, after I read today about the work tillman is doing down in AA. And, I see Jones went 3-3 last night and his hitting about double what wilkerson is hitting. This does not surprise me, I even said before the trade he has never pitched over 200 innings. Great!! Who do you think will pitch now R.A Dickey?

The only reason this trade got me upset earlier was the fact that it was the Mariners trading for a pitcher... it just never seems to work with us but its still early in the first place.

As an Orioles fan, I'm feeling better about seeing Bedard in another uniform. Usually, the Orioles are the ones making trades for (or signing) oft-injured players that don't live up to expectations. I know it is way to early to make judgements, but it will be interesting to follow the progress of the young prospects the Orioles picked up.

Huge lost for the M's and once agin they let some very good young talent go to get a guy who may never do anything except collect a check.

agreed Adam Jones is a stud, shouldn't have let him go for a 29 year old pitcher who has never gone 200 innings.

Well, we will find out much about our depth during the next ten days.  I for one, think Dickey will surprise.

Wow, the season is two plus weeks old and already you're giving up on Bedard.  Wait and see what this trade looks like at the end of the season before making any judgements.  That being said, this trade was made with the intent to win now and I think the Mariners over performed last year and they are not ready to win with this team as it is.  I think Bedard will have  a great year, but I don't think the Mariners are going to make the playoffs with their current players - so this makes it a bad trade because Jones is going to be a stud.

I agree with bglick
Anyone can look like a genius making predictions in april.  There is no way you can call this trade bust for the m's or a succes for the o's.  Let a season go by or at least half a season before saying fire bavasi for it.  I mean are Orioles really a first place team...get real.  Baseball is six monthes boys....sit back and enjoy it

Yes, it's a long season and Bedard may come back and dominate. But the facts on his injury history speak for itself. I don't think anyone is over reacting to be concerned about the guy. He has had elbow problems, spent time on the DL in 2002, 2005 (knee ligament), 2007 (strained oblique) and now in 2008 he goes on the DL with the hip problem. He came up in 2002 and has pitched less than 700 innings in his career. No question he is dominant when he is healthy but......hey, that's the issue.
