What if Pelini can't get Nebraska over the hump?  What If he was hired 5 years to late?  Husker nation may never be the same again.  I think he will do a great job but wonder if Pinkel, Mangino, Hawkins, and the other coaches hired since Solich aren't a leg up and may stay a leg up with recruiting?  This sound weird but Nebraska is maybe the 3rd or 4th best team in the North this year!!!!  How long does the BIG RED hold on if Pelini doesn't win at  least 9 games a year for the first 4 or 5 years?  Imagine after 5 years and his career record is 40-25 and no titles national or conference.  What if's are fun and make a person nervous.  What everyone has to think about is when Bob Stoops got to Oklahoma he had a tremendous amount of talent waiting to be coached up and put in the proper positions.  I think Nebraska is very low on talent at this point and don't see winning a title in 2 years like Stoops did with another  coaches players.  Hasn't won a title since either.  What  I am saying is these are completely different situations, with Nebraska's being the more difficult of the 2 programs.
