Is he really worth a first round pick this year and a player or a 1st round and 2nd round pick next year?

I have to admit I haven't seen him play since the Chiefs have been pretty much garbage the past couple of years but his stats do look pretty good. However, is DE really a pressing need? I don't think it is enough of a need to give up draft picks. I think we have more pressing needs such as DT, DB, LB, and WR.

Gotta agree with you there Evel...He is in no way worth picks this year.  We need more picks in this draft not less.  Hopefully, Gru/Allen will not pull the trigger on this one.

He's worth a 1st and more.

The question is, what more do we offer?  Simms, Haye, Gradkowski?  Michael Clayton? Ryan Nece?  Trade back Michael Bennet?

Look we traded with KC once already... so the ties are there.

But yes, compare Allen to ANY guy we can pick in  the 1st at #20... yes he is better.

What in the world are you basing this on? Let me guess- you thought David Boston was going to put up 100 catches and 1,800 receiving yards.

Not only that, do you really think the Chefs want another player? Hell no! They want more high draft picks because this is a deep draft! They're not stupid! They are going to get at the very least a 1st and 3rd pick for this guy. That would leave the Bucs with 3 picks in probably the deepest draft in 15 years.

The Buccaneers have gotten better over the last few years through the draft with strategic trades, smart free agency pickups and strong draft selections.

Why ruin a good thing by grabbing a guy that got a DUI while driving home from a BAPTISM???

We do not need to make a trade for allen, DL is not our weakest spot on the team if we make that trade we will still be very weak at WR, CB and no QB for the future. I just think if we make that trade it will set us back a couple years at other positions that could cause us to drop a few more games. To stay on top we are going to have to add good talent at alot of positions every year not just get one good player and forget the rest of the team.
