Better Matchup for the Semifinals

    Waiting for the conference semifinals is exciting. Right now there is 1 team I don't want to play and no matter what happens, we won't have to play them. If Calgary wins, it is Colorado vs Dallas, and if SJ wins, it is Colorado vs Detroit.
    Detroit or Dallas will be rough and I would love to see Detroit in the Conference Finals because that is where the rivalry will really pick up again but Semifinals is fine as well.
I would personally like to see Detroit because we are healthy right now and there is no guarantee we will be healthy in the finals if we make it, they have 1 great scoring line and I loved how Foote and Sauer did against Minnesota's scoring line, they have been playing mainly 2 defensive lines like Minnesota did, they like taking dumb shots from the blue line instead of cycling, and they just got done with an extremely rough series.
    I would like Dallas because their goalie isn't as good as Detroit's, they don't have as much depth on their lines as Detroit, it would be harder for them to matchup against our 2 great lines, and they are definently not as good as Detroit.
    Last reasons would be if we played Detroit, it would be an extremely rought series with San Jose and Dallas, and if we play Dallas, Calgary would rough up Detroit. I would love to play whoever comes out of there.

	I voted for Detroit even though either team would be a good matchup. The Avs have a history of tough playoff series against both teams, and I'm excited either way. Although it looks like he might be over it, it would be nice to face Turco, who has a history of under performing in the playoffs. That would be nice considering how many scorers we have on the team. And Dallas probably has the least chance of knocking Jose out of this monster zone he is in. . . . Maybe I should have voted for Dallas. Either way, I'm just glad its the Avs, not the Wild going on to the next round. I figured I'd add that for good measure because there are bound to be some trolling Wild fans on here complaining about how the refs and Forsberg taking dives cost them the series. hahahahaha Welcome to the offseason, Wild.

	Hmmm... Personally I think that Detroit would better. What a way to revive a rivalry that has gone soft over the past few years. Even though I think Dallas would be easier, there's no guarentee that the Avs and Red Wings would meet in the postseason, and I really want them to. So, Dallas would be easier,but Detroit would be the better series. But no matter what happens, watch out for us!! Go Avs!!!

	There is no doubt about it that Detroit will be by far the harder game for the Avs, however it will be by far more rewarding if we were to win. Due to the rivalry the form of the sides won't count and it'l just go down to who wants it more on the day. I believe we can beat either team but beating Detroit would spur us on to winning the Stanley Cup!!!

	i said dallas because you gotta think we're in turco's head. the last two times he's seen us he went bye bye in 5. plus this isn't the dallas teams led by belfour who beat us in 7 in 1999 & 2000. i want to see detroit in the con. finals for all the marbles. i don't care who it is coming out of the east, the winner of avs vs. wings in the finals will win the cup.

	I voted for the Stars. We can definitly score with them but the big difference maker in the series would be our defense. I was really suprised to see how amazing Foote and Sauer played together and how Salei showed offensive brilliance that Liles has lacked this year.

	I voted for the Stars also. I started another board stating as such. I would love to see Calgary beat up Detroit. Dallas would be an easier match-up for the Avs. No more Hatcher and Matvichuk beating on the forwards.
