I want to throw out a title of something to the effect of break out the broom, but I'm too supersticious to do so.  Never say never ala the Bosox over NYY a few years back, but I just cannot see Phoenix coming back at this point.  More realistically they're demoralized and falter after a tough initial run Sunday.  Never heard any of the announcers to include Jeff Van Gundy who must like us (anybody catch the comment about official Steve Javey reffing on the road...) discuss what I thought was a huge underlying thing.  Obviously Tony's off the charts game was key, but I have to give huge kudos to Pops for switching to Kurt Thomas starting the game over Oberto.  Set the tone early and not let the Spurs get off to a slow start.  I was worried in the second when Timmy was sitting with 2 early fouls and the Suns cut it to 5, but everything worked out.  Again, incredible performance.  San Antonio plays like tonight and nobody, but nobody to include Boston, LA, whoever will touch the Spurs in route to a back to back and title #5.  But again, I'm supersticious, so shut me up and put me to bed.....

I thought the Suns would come out with more Fire & they didn't...

They just let the Spurs raid their fridge & Pee in their toilet without flushing...

Wow... Just wow... That game wasn't even close....

It is not over yet.

As Spurs fans, let us not get too overconfident.

Let us just finish off the desert pretenders like usual.

No cockiness needed...

Although those 3-1 regular season Suns fans were begging for it.

Nope, Steve Nash and Amare are too great of players to write off until they are done.

GO SPURS GO!

I completely agree 100%...

But wow... I have never seen the Spurs handle Nash like this... NEVER!!!! Amare looked frustrated & out of it after 1/2 time.... And Shaq is not playing like the Shaq in LA that gave SA fits....

I was expecting a down to the Wire Game 3, & the Suns coming out with GUNS BLAZZING!!!!

Don't get me wrong... I'll take it... and I know the Suns won't go quietly.... They wouldn't be the Suns if they did....

But you can't help but notice that the Suns did not play like the Suns & it seemed like SA is really in their heads... I've always thought of Nash as someone who rose to the occasion & would fight, but he didn't do much in Game 3...

I gotta hand it to you Horns - I think I may just end up being one of your biggest fans!  Horns is the perfect embodiment of this resilient Spurs team:
1)  Humble
2)  Fundementally sound
3)  Never talks trash
4)  Never concerned with individual achievement,
5)  It's always just bout the team and just winning.

As a Laker fans, I salute you and this Spurs team - may our two teams meet in the WCF, which may well go down as being one for the ages.  I know a lot would have to happen between now and then, and that nothing should be taken for granted but, I'm just sayin'...

Thanks for the kind words Jefe

I am just like the rest of Spurs fans worldwide.  There are not too many of us (probably the smallest fanbase of a winner ever).

But we have been blessed with such a dignifed team it would be a complete disservice to their example of professionalism if us fans acted like idiots.

Spurs fans do talk trash sometimes (myself included), but it is always tempered with respect.

Although at this time, it would be premature to think Lakers-spurs.  The Nuggets and Suns are two very experienced proud veteran teams...not to mention the other 4 teams...

The irony here may be that the 'old' Spurs are not washed up, but maybe Nash (who is still a great player) is the one who has lost a step.  He has been in this league a long time and Parker is proving (as is Paul) that a young point gaurd is critical in the playoffs.

The league seems to be changing from the Isiah/M. Johnson/E. Johnson days.

I found it funny as Parker was coming off the court with about 2 min left in the 4th quarter his whole team was congratulating him on a great game.  Pop never even looked at him.  Nothing to it, I just found it interesting.

Pop only smiles if he's on a victory boat on the River Walk... Otherwise he never smiles or congratulates his players in public.. only behind closed doors & in practice... :)
