Man Prisco you must be tired from always being on your knees in front of the Colts and Patriots... Your jaw hurt yet?

The Colts draft was not that good... yet Prisco gives them a B- and under the "Questionable Move".. he says "Nothing really"

And the Patriots receive a B+ for getting an extremely overrated linebacker in Mayo? wow

At least he didn't give the Colts the best grade of the draft. He is always putting the Colts before any of the other teams... especially the Pats which had beating the Colts and were still a game or two higher... and the colts were still better than the Pats.

Prisco is about as hopeless as they come. Fox Sports and ESPN I think did a much job dissecting the draft.

So you opened this article, went right to the Chargers, saw that Prisco did not give them an A then went to the Pats and Colts and said I am going to say something negative no matter what grade Prisco gave them.

What is not to like about the Colts draft?

Their first round pick was traded, but for it they got a starting LT for the next 10 years.  Good move.

Their 2nd round pick was the best C in the draft, and Jeff Saturday is 33.  There is a also a spot to fill at G and they thing this kid could fill in there to start.

Their 3rd round pick is a LB that, according to Scouts INC. "is a relentless pass rusher"

Their 4th round pick is a pass-catching TE - I'm sure Peyton Manning can't use another weapon.

Their 5th round pick is another pass rusher that actually had a 3rd round grade.

The Colts really needed to bolster the DE and interior offenseive line positions, and did just that.  I think BIll Polian gets the benefit of the doubt, Bolt Masta Bater...

Why was the Colts draft not that good?

They traded their 1st round pick this year for their starting LT last year, who held up pretty well as a rookie and will get better with an offseason spent with the Colts trainers.

Their 2nd round pick was the best C in the draft, and Jeff Saturday is 33.  Also, the Colts have an open spot at G so he might start from Day 1.

Their 3rd round pick is a "relentless pass rusher" according to Scouts Inc.

Their 4th round pick is a TE who ran a 4.6 - I'm sure Peyton can find a way to get him the ball.  Especially after losing Utech in the offseason.

Their 5th round pick is another pass rusher, but he actually had a 3rd round grade.

The Colts two biggest needs were DE and interior offensive line, which they addressed.  I think they had a pretty solid draft, Da Bolt Masta Bata...

The only player the Patsies drafted that was any good was Mayo but they took him about 15-20 picks too early.  I think their dfaft sucked:  D+

My only complaint as a Colts fan is how you can say they have no questionable moves, not mention trading last year for Tony Ugoh, and give them a B-.  Either pick apart their draft or give them a good grade.  Doing neither makes no sense.  Personally, I think they did a very good job drafting this year and the lineman are def. needed.

Uh, most of the experts, whose opinion most of us will regard more highly than yours, said that Mayo was being consistently underrated.  But, it's good to know that you can foretell the future.  What will the PowerBall numbers be this weekend?

Oh... so we get to include traded away picks?

SD's draft:

1st:  Antoine Cason (CB)
2nd:  Chris Chambers (to Mia for 2nd round pick)
3rd:  Jacob Hester (FB)
3rd:  Eric Weddle (3rd to Chi)
4th:  Paul Oliver (CB taken in last year's supplemental... projected as a 2nd rounder)
5th:  Marcus Thomas (Replaces Turner... another 5th round steal years ago)
6th:  DeJuan Tribble (CB)  Absolute steal at this spot.
7th:  Corey Clark (OT)  Texas A&M never averaged under 200 rushing ypg when he was there.

Beat that!  A "C"?  Ridiculous!  When figured this way... better than Colts/Pats.
