The Lakers will be going for a 1st round sweep of the Denver Nuggets and Carmelo Anthony has already indicated that they have quit and it is time to bring out the brooms.
Luke Walton has been on fire and its nice to see that he is finally contributing on a consistent basis. As long as they keep their role players like J.R. Smith and Linas Kleiza and Eduardo Najera in check then this game should be in the bag.
I think Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony will get their points and hopefully they can get into foul trouble, so Kobe Bryant can end it by the 3rd quarter.
The Lakers are now in destroy mode and whatever is left of the Denver Nuggets confidence has been crushed since game 1. I honestly thought that this series would be more competitive, but Marcus Camby has been manhandled by Pau Gasol and I can't believe he finished in the Top 5 for defensive player of the year. Gasol has been doing layup drills throughout the series.
In addition, I never would have imagined Luke Walton outplaying Carmelo Anthony and now it has been reported that George Karl will be back with Denver next season. Allen Iverson and Anthony are not getting the job done and they need to get rid of one of those players for a player that can play at both ends of the court. The Nuggets are horrendous on team defense and they have nothing but scorers and shooters on the team.
Speaking of the Nuggets, one has to appreciate the Lakers who probably have less allstars / stars then any team in the playoffs, except maybe Atlanta and still play great as a TEAM.
