I like Rhodes but I voted no. I want to see what Bell and Smith can do. I don't like the idea of another back coming in and taking carries from these guys. We need to see what they have.

No. We're all set at the position now. We cut talent in Kevin Jones, who made $2.5 million. And we failed to sign T.J. Duckett who only wanted $1.5 million a year for 2 years to stay with us. What would we really expect to offer Rhodes?

The only reason I would see us signing Rhodes, is that Rhodes played with Tony Dungy, a good friend of Marinelli's.

Why do people always want to sign other team's used up player. Running backs have short careers usually and it is not worth our time or money to sign has beens. I don't even want Shaun Alexander because he has no desire left to be great. Some people say if the price is right, but why would we sign a guy that does not work or play hard? Veterans know how to play the system and already have their money. The Lions are not going to win the superbowl so why would a veteran sign with Detroit? The answer is simple, to collect a pay check. We need to have young hungry players with a desire to be great and win.

No way. He's an aging RB who couldn't even help Oakland. And he's been suspended for a DUI, so not a high-character guy.

I voted No. simple fact is CAP CAP CAP! we are already in a tough place with our cap and I can't help but think it was the driviving factor in our first two round picks.

Lets face it our failures in the last few years are really starting to hurt us in the way of the cap. We can't afford top talent via the draft we have to take the non top ranked players.

with that said I, while not impressed initialy, think we got a group of players this year these guys are not pampered players these guys are the grunt it our in the trenches type of guys.

back to the point. I like kevin, I hate you tube!< but i went out to a few of the videos linked thru out the forums here and liked what I saw and the commentators are really excited about this guy I would love to see him be the starter . Bell i still have a bad taste in my mouth from what he did not do last year but I sat stick to what we have and let the trenches win out.

I say NO...Dominic Rhodes will end up back with the Colts or the Buccaneers. His price will be to high for us. Plus he can't even beat out Justin Fargas for the starting RB job.

Honestly I would rather have LaMont Jordan than Rhodes. From what I have been reading Jordan is the next to be leaving the Oakland backfield fairly soon
