The Charlotte Bobcats were only 5 games out of a playoff spot this season. I think that just having Larry Brown as the coach will add 5 to 8 games in the win column. With Larry Brown coming in, I expect some free agents to give the Bobcats a better look. The Bobcats are under the salary cap and should be a big player in the draft and free agency.

With Jason Richardson, Raymond Felton, Nazr Mohammed, Gerald Wallace, and Sean May coming back the Bobcats have a great young nucleus. I hope they'll be able re-sign Emeka Okafor and get a big body in the draft.

Go Cats in 08-09!

Forget Emeka. The Phoenix Suns will more than likely be looking to get younger this year. They were willing to deal Amare Stoudemire last year. Charlotte doesn’t need another  rookie. There is plenty of young talent. I say we explore the idea of a sign and trade sending Okafor to the Suns along with our first round pick for Amare and either their first round pick or their second. I know this seems like a lot to give up but in the east Stoudemire will be a legitimate top 3 center. .

I agree with most of what you say, except Sean May, he is dead weight and needs to be jettisoned. He has yet to stay healthy and in shape or play an entire season. Drop him and move on, with Larry Brown and the fact we are in the weak Eastern Conf, we have a good shot at the playoffs, I mean, if we hit .500 we could make it, look at the Hawks!

I know i could get crushed for this, but i think Morrison will provide a good scoring spark off the bench. Unlike his rookie year, he won't  have to be the main scoring option, because J-Rich and G-Force will take care of that.   Having Sean May, Morrison, Carroll, Jared Dudley, and a young big man like Anthony Randolph coming off the bench, I think the depth will be there to give our starting lineup a serviceable break.
