I hope he has BULKED up. He is essentially another lineman with soft hands. Kevin Boss had an amazing playoff run. But we need Shockey to step up and be the MAN. Therefore limiting Boss to an occasional catch, but more as another solid blocking lineman in our 2 TE sets or when Jeremy Shockey needs a breather. I think this should help him, assuming he is in shape.
I want to give BIG KUDOS to Kevin Boss. As well as all the youngsters and role-players who stepped up huge in the playoffs. Without them we could not have won the Super Bowl.
Ahmad Bradshaw was amazing, he didnt just fill in, but became a star that other teams needed to worry about. I think we finally had Thunder & Lightning, where before i think it was more of us hoping we had it.
Jay Alford played great when he was forced into action. Steve Smith had some clutch receptions. Looking back the 2007 draft for the NY Giants was all aces.
Then of course the miraculous catch by David Tyree, who had only a handful of receptions all season.
I think Tom Coughlin and his coaching staff deserve alot of credit for having all these guys prepared to perform in the biggest circumstances, with minimal on-field experience. THANK YOU.
GO GIANTS
