CBS Pre-draft Comments on Wayne, Ty and Danny

CBS has some exciting comments on Danny Green , Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington in reference to the upcoming NBA draft.

Wayne Ellington  " No self respecting Tar Heel would  enter early t be a second round pick would he?"  This means of course that his dollar value just plainly not there.

Danny Green  " Danny Green should go back to school, A.S.A.P.

 Ty Lawson " This is a strong year for point guards, which is why Wayne might end up back at UNC.

I hope the boy's see this and listen to what it say's.  Next year will be a better year for them to test the waters, especially after winning an NC.

With the exception of Tyler, if the other guys come back, it might be a bunch of "I"'s instead of a team.  Those individuals might all be thinking "the NBA scouts told me I need to XXXX in order to move up in next year's draft" instead of thinking about "Coach Williams told me I need to ZZZZ in order to bring a national championship to Chapel Hill."

We will all have to wait and see.

Thanks TarHeel Tom - We need Ty and Danny back to continue to pound d00k.  xcRacer makes a valid point.  If they come back as teammates rather than "I"s.  I don't think Roy would let they play if they returned with that attitude.  Remember we've got some very good freshmen coming in.  And we've got the NPOY as our foundation.

Good points Rich and Ike, however, Roy Williams will not take any I's on his team and he is very much like Larry Brown who has just joined the Bobcats.  "It is either my wa or no way".  I am sure Roy will control his players or they will have splinters in their seats from bench warming.

Good points all and on target.  Ellington seemed to just show up on occasion.  The more I've thought about it , I've wondered why Wayne could not handle the point when Ty was injured.  Ginyard had to do it.  I been a Danny Green fan all last season and still am. 

Southerner You're right, it's team first and making the extra pass would help greatly.  Let's hope they do that and play better "D" next season.

Now I'm trying to think of what talent Ellington has that he thinks is valuable to the NBA.. and the Tar Heels if he can't play back up point on occasion.  Both Ty and Danny were very good spot up shooters and they have so many other skills.  We need a slasher to drive to the basket.  I hope he will work on his ball handling and passing game.  Maybe he'll pick up something from the pro teams.. maybe.
