The Browns have made a deal with Phil Savage to keep him with us through 2012. Great move by the organization.

Here's a link that somewhat explains it. If anyone finds a better article explaining this, please post a link.

Yeah right geno. Isnt it nice to not have the 1000 "Fire Romeo and Phil" threads this year.

I'm really glas this got done now.  Our Browns are going to have a better team this year, especially with the Defensive additions, but without sounding negative, I beleive this may be a much tougher year simply because of the schedule.  It's tough pretty much from start to finish.

So, my point it, I'm glad we locked up Romeo and Phil because G is correct, people would have started calling for heads, if for some reason we do not match the 10-6 record we acheived last year.

These guys bring stability to a team on the rise and I'm glad they will have another 3 years to finish what they have started.

Terrible move!  Fire Romeo!  Fire Phil!

G,

I'm here to admit I was one of the guys hating on Romeo last season.  And I vicariously hated on Phil at the same time.  While I do think that contract extensions all around (first-year OC Chudzinski, third-year QB Anderson, Savage, Crennel, promotion of Tucker) may be a bit premature, I am glad to see that "c" word you mentioned.

At the risk of being boo'ed by everone on this Board, I'm still going to devil's advocate a bit here.
