i am not a Boston fan but a fan who wants to see the best teams in the NBA finals and all i can say is great series by the Hawks they have played awesome but Boston should have had this series in 5 at the most. Letting chances slip away, i made the prediction earlier that the Celtics would sweep the first 2 rounds but now i think they win game 7 but get beat by Cleveland, maybe playoff experience is the issue here they have the talent to win but do not ultimately have the composure or experience i see this team bounced next round to a team that does not have as much talent as them.

The Celtics should've won this game if the refs didn't let Zsa Zsa Gabor get away with the calls! I still feel the Celtics will put this series away on Sunday. I don't see them being last year's Mavs.

first of all... boston is obviously the better team overall.. but you want teams that are playing the best RIGHT NOW.  and for that.. i'm sorry, but the Celtics aren't looking that impressive..  and the Hawks kind of are (for the young team that they are).

winning on the road is important, so i don't see either of these teams going past the second round.  so why not root for the hawks, since it seems (at the present) that they are playing on the same level.  i am disappointed in the BOS coaching and the veteran's play..

haha.  playoff experience,? i think i can count on 2 hands.. maybe 1! the years of total playoff experience the hawks players have.  kg and all the other established stars SHOULD have closed this series out at 4-5 games, but it's down to a 1 game series, so anything is possible!!

go hawks!

?  wow.  that just sounds odd :P

Is over-confident a big concern?  I hope Boston Celtics will win game 7!

You want to see the best teams in the NBA Finals? Well if Boston can't beat this Hawks team I think that does something to prove that Boston is not one of these so called best teams. The best teams are the teams that actually move on in the playoffs, not the ones who are the higher seed or favorite. I personally am no Boston fan either, but I believe they are the better team in this series and should have actually swept this Hawks team. Game 7 Sunday....

Atlanta 47 trips to the line Boston 25. Atlanta may be quicker but 2 to 1 in foul shots? Does the NBA just want one early game to get a big TV audience since the rest of the first round was pummelings? Prediction here is those foul shot numbers will be even or maybe even flip for game 7 as the NBA really doesn't want the Celtics out in the first round.

I hate when people blame refs for the way a game turns out.  Sometimes you get bad calls it's a part of the game but when there is that wide of a disparity in free throw shooting it is because one team was more aggressive than the other.  The Hawks played strong in the post and their guards were able to penetrate into the lanes.  The Celtics took and missed a lot of three point shots and jump shots and that is why they lost.

IBoston will win game 7..this Celtics team have individuals with playoffs experience (KG, Cassell, Posey, Allen,..) but lacking the required playoffs experience as a unit or team....in fact i was worried the celtics will sweep this series against the Hawks and then lose in the coming rounds to a team better than atlanta due to the fact that they might underestimate their opponents...am glad they had to suffer and go to 7th game..this will be the wakeup call that the celtics needed before facing tougher teams such as Cavaliers in the next round and probably the Pistons in the east finals before heading to play for the nba title against winner from possible Lakers-Spurs matchup in the west....although am betting my money on new orleans to knock out the title holders in the 2nd round :)

MEMO TO eightzero:

There is a reason for the playoffs.  You comment that you want to see the "best teams...".  If the NBA validated your visual version of the  best the league has to offer, then the basic fabric of sports championships would be akin to a "BCS" approach.

Wake up and smell the roses, or whatever you have in your backyard.

I wouldn't suggest that you take out a second mortgage to fund your prognosis.
