So.  We completely revitalized our receiving core this year with all three of our second rounders going to thomas, kelly, and davis, which should (hopefully) mean much better production: a lot more yards and tds.

BUT, the Eagles and Cowboys jacked up their secondary, and they might have some of the best cornerback groups in the league.  The eagles have Asante Samuels, Sheldon Brown, and it looks like Lito Sheppard will stay too and dallas has Jenkins, Pacman, Newman, and Henry.  Only the Giants dont look spectacular with their corners.

I know that we can spread their defense wide with our wr's, and open up the run game when their in a nickle defense, but on passing downs we really got to work the height and speed mismatches...

I LIKE OUR CHANCES NOW THAT WE DRAFTED SOME HEIGHT AT RECIEVER.SPREADING THE FIELD IS WHAT THEY NEED TO DO A LOT OF .SEND 6 OUT IN ROUTES AND LET PORTIS STAY UNDERNEATH.LIKE WESTBROOK WANT TO PLAT TIGHT ON THE WR'S BURN THEM UNDER NEATH.

The NFC East will be the toughest division in the NFL this year. Without a question. We need to learn to play at a fast speed to make this Zorn offense work, and complete numerous short passing gains to open up the "Big play". Hopefully those big receivers paired up with the foes on defense will win most of the battles. I for one can not wait till the season starts.

redskins4 life you can't send 6 wr's out in a play and have Portis blocking Imean you have 5 O-line and the QB with Portis and 6 receivers on the field that would be 13 but it would be effective.

Hahaha, very true.  Should have caught himself on that one.  Let me say this, corners are just corners.  Champ Bailey gets scored on, Asant Samuel gets scored on, Antonion Cromartie gets scored on, everyone gets scored on.  If you game plan well, and practice plays to perfection, no matter how good a corner is, they won't be able to shut it down.

If we play Zorn's WCO at the speed it was meant to be played, it doesn't matter if CB's are Asante & Lito, we can still find holes in a 3WR set. There's the slot receiver, Cooley and Portis to account for and if they run their routes properly and JC to get his passes quick and accurate, we can still makes plays. So, If we can master the WCO like it is supposed to be played, we can make plays on any defense, like Skin83 said, everyone gets scored.

Actually, Champ Bailey doesn't get scored on.  Only on a very, very rare occasion.  For the most part, he doesn't even get thrown at.

you are correct, been long day wasn't counting my players.how about this.spread 4 wide sending portis out in the flat, that way you have the linebacker on portis and that is a mismatch every time.
