I have been a Spur fan since around 1990. I followed David Robinson to them after watching him in the NCAA tourney when he played at underdog Navy. I got a big boost when Tim Duncan came to them. With me being only 40 minutes away from Winston Salem NC(Wake Forest), I had watched Duncan lots, esp since I am a UVa fan and we always had good games with them. Then the Spurs took off and became a team that was more than average and championships developed. They have been a team that doesnt brag alot. They just go out and play hard and win and I love that. No show boating just plan ole hard D and get it done.

But now, we are playing the Hornets. And you know where this talented kid named Chris Paul came from. Same place as Duncan but he was actually born in Winston Salem. I read about him in the local papers throughout his career in high school and college. The kid is exciting to watch!

I will remain loyal to the Spurs but if we happen to get beat by the Hornets, I will not be ashamed and I will root hard for the Paul led Hornets.

What do you mean IF we get by the Hornets?
