Actually lp1560, they should be happy to make it as far as they have after the miserable year they had last year. Remember, it's been a while since we've gotten this far in the chase for a Stanley Cup ourselves and our first year back we didn't do nearly as well as they have. Just sayin...

Hahah Laraqueatsflyers, that was pretty funny.

IronCity, funny you should mention Richards getting beat in a fight by Sean Avery.  How big is Ryan Malone?  6-4, 224 lbs.  Which is 6 inches and 29 lbs bigger than Sean Avery.  And 5 inches and 29 lbs bigger than Mike Richards.  Richards only has an inch on Avery.  Sounds like they were pretty evenly matched.  Malone clearly had the size advantage when he fought Avery, and LOST!!!  Very quickly, too, I might add.  I think that's a little more embarrassing than having Richards lose to guy his size.

You are right Pgh_oldhead, no matter who wins this series - and any serious fan knows that the Flyers are by no means out of it yet (if they lose tonight, however . . . ) - the Flyers have pulled off an amazing turnaround and deserve a lot of respect for that.

Now, let's play ice hockey - Go Pens

NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS ABOUT THERE  SPORTS, FOOD, OR BEER FROM THERE CITY, I DON'T THINK ANYONE CAN ARGUE WITH THE FACT THAT THE BEST THING TO COME OUT OF PITTSBURGH IS HEINZ KETCHUP.  I CAN TOLERATE AND EVEN LIKE SOME STORE BRAND PRODUCTS BUT WHEN IT COMES TO KETCHUP ITS HEINZ OR NOTHING(ESPECIALLY WHEN THE SPELL IT WITH A "C") BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION

I sort of said that to myself after Sunday's loss.  It's true.  There is a lot to be thankful and appreciative of this year in comparrison to last.

Sometimes, that can be very annoying though, even if its not intended to be.  My Grandfather says it, every year after losing year.  When I say that I'm 31 and never been to a parade, he does the old guy math and starts protesting about the '80 Phillies or the '83 Sixers.  Yea... Pop, I was 3 and 6 years old, respectively.  Don't remember a whole lot about those years...

So yea, on one hand I'm always thanking them for how far they've come, but on the other cursing them for just how short they fell.

Pitt fans should appreciate the parades and parties they've got to enjoy.  I would have loved a cup at 14 and 15 years old, and a superbowl championship at 29.  Savor those things as they are not a given.  Jealous would be an understatement.

Oh well, it happened in 2000, it can happen again... Flyer's come from a 2-0 series deficit and beat the Pens in 6!!!

My neighborhood borders the John Hienz wildlife preserve in SW Philadelphia and I agree.  Both the animals from his land and his ketchup are delicious.
