Spurs fans...

Although it was bad losing by 19 on the road to New Orleans.

It is nothing new.  This whole current roster is roughly the same team the last 2 seasons.

They went 12-2 at home the last 2 seasons in the playoffs.

They went 8-4 on the road the last 2 seasons in the playoffs.

All 4 road playoff losses the last 2 seasons were blowouts.  21, 26, 19 and 19.

The havent lossed any road games other than blowouts.

After each blowout road playoff loss,  the Spurs bounced back to win the next game.

..............

The Hornets are a great team. There is no guarantee that they will win the next or any games at all.

But, our beloved boring repetitive team seems to do the same things over and over again.

Get blown out on the road...win the next...

Here's some more info.....on the same stuff.......

Blowouts:
2007 Conference Semis: Phoenix 101, SA 81
2007 Conference Finals: Utah 109, SA 83
2006 First Round: Sacramento 102, SA 84
2006 Conference Semis: Dallas 113, SA 91
2005 Conference Sems: Seattle 101, SA 89
2005 NBA Finals: Detroit 96, SA 79
2005 NBA Finals: Detroit 102, SA 71
2004 Conference Semis: LA 105, SA 81
2003 Conference Semis: LA 110, SA 95
2003 Conference Finals: Dallas 103, SA 91

Game 1 Losses:
2007 First Round: Loss to Nuggets
2005 First Round: Loss to Nuggets
2003 First Round: Loss to Suns
2003 Conference Finals: Loss to Mavericks

So, to recap, over the past 5 years:
Spurs are 8-2 in series where they are blown out at some point in the series. They have been blown out at least twice in route to every championship. And, they are 8-2 in games following blowouts.

Spurs are 4-0 in series where they lost the first game of the series. That's a ridiculous statistic. Additionally, the Spurs have dropped a first game in route to every NBA championship, while they did not win the championship either year where they never lost a game 1.

Oh well...

We got to hang our hats on something else.

At least the Suns have good seats in front of their TV sets.

Oh, thanks for the tip!  So that means I ain't too worried about next 5 more games left to go especially Spurs need to win next two games before taking this series in New Orleans.  Hope that their dynasty will always continue on.... and yes, I do love their winning ways!

Paul vs Kobe.a meeting to get excited about..might tarnish, his MVP trophy..not getting by...The Hornets..how about it laker fans..feeling bit uneasy..hornets whopping Spurs?not at all superlion, quite the contrary...  We still have some work to do in our semi-final before we can truly set our sights forward but, assuming the Lakers move on, I think it would be safe to say that we just want to play the better team - whoever that ends up being.  I don't want anything to marginalize what the Lakers have set out to accomplish this postseason...to be the best you have to beat the best, that's all there is to it.

Spurs/Lakers fan or not, I think the whole country would love to see a Spurs vs. Lakers series.  It would be historic.
