19.South Florida: Ranked No. 2 at one point, the Bulls slumped, finishing 5-4. If the Bulls make it to Dec. 6 in the Big East title hunt, it will be a good year. The regular season ends that day at West Virginia. Most of the offense is back. The defense still has All-American defensive end George Selvie. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but hasn't USF beaten West Virginia the last 2 seasons? Now they lost their coach and he expects that to change this season? Don't count on that one DODD!!!!!

No one's saying you're not right. You have every right to be confident. WVU is 1-2 against USF with 2 consecutive losses. But, it last season proved, anything can happen in college football.
Enjoy the ride! If WVU is in the NC hunt and the only team in it's way is USF, then expect the team that played Oklahoma as opposed to the team that showed up against Pitt!!
Actually, I hope that we're both undefeated and this crowns the BE champ as well as gives the winner a spot in the NC game!!!

What does the bowl game have to do with head to head competition against conference foes who seems to have your number? Yeah, USF lost to a pretty talented Oregon team but that doesn't take away from the FACT that they have WVU's number!!!!

I think i will see the team that tends to show up against SOUTH FLORIDA!!!!! Last year you guys had a title chance in your grasp and lost to a very bad Pitt team, rivalry game or not. Why would you now be able to get over that pressure and win?

Wait a minute what did USF do oh yeah lost in a bowl game to an Oregon team WITHOUT Dennis Dixon talented lol they lost to UCLA on the road without Dixon as well as being absolutely routed By Arizona they were not talented.
TbayBishop your team beats WVU because they get up to play them but when it comes to Uconn and Rutgers and Cincinatti you lose and WVU wins see it all works out you can beat us we lose one big east game you lose three West Virginia wins the big east again.
What was the score of the Fiesta Bowl again 48-28 West Virginia kicked the shit out of Oklahoma. Know your place son and May I suggest you get out of the sun there in Tampa Bay as you seem to be delirious and not feeling well shame.
Go Mountaineers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
USF Sucks

Let's set the record straight. The benefit that SFU and Pitt had was a 3 play offense that anyone should be able to defend against. The orchestrator of that offense is gone. Even still, the ability to stop the offense was still predicated on the QB getting hurt in both games and missing an entire half of play in both games.
The Oklahoma beating showed a North-South attack that forced OU to play honest. I personally like what SFU hs accomplished, but they showed that they were up for weeknight game that always favors the Home team and then crashed down the stretch.
If Stewart does what he claims and keeps his QB healthy, the Bulls will ultimately be overmatched.

Way to represent at home vs. Pitt. USF has WVU's number at the moment so I think they should just admit it. I'm not saying USF is the best team in the nation, and I'm not saying WVU is the worst, but head-to-head USF has been better in recent years. Doing this degrees of seperation thing is pointless. Bragging rights belong to the team that won the previous year, and they are entitled to those rights until the result of the next game has surfaced.

Let's quit this degrees of separation thing. The bragging rights belong to the team that won the previous year, and they are entitled to that until the result of the next showdown has surfaced. In recent years USF has had WVU's number and that's all it comes down to.

First off regardless of Dixon Oregon had talent. Dixon didn't have them ranked so highly most of the season by himself. But once again, since WVU and USF didn't play EACH OTHER in a bowl game I fail to see how it matters. How does that matter?? this article was about rankings and it basically said USF will have a good year until they meet WVU and I ask why on Earth ANYONE would count USF out against a team they have beaten 2 years in a row. Especially seeing that USF didn't lose many players and WVU lost the frickin offensive innovator. So all of you can act like I am trying to start crap or what ever you want to think but saying thay USF doesn't have a chance surely makes you and the author of this article look moronic!!!

USF!!!!!! Using White's injuries as an excuse huh!!! He didn't get hurt standing on the sidelines, he got hurt by the USF D. Even more so it's not like USF had to make these huge comebacks AFTER White got hurt, they simply kept there lead!!!!
If Stewart does what he claims and keeps his QB healthy, the Bulls will ultimately be overmatched.
First off how does assistant coach stewart plan on keeping his QB healthy in that offense? Second, USF's defense will be just as fast and ready for this UWV game as they were last year!!!!

Doing this degrees of seperation thing is pointless.Thank you!!! Stanford won what, 4 games last year if that BUT they beat USC and USC has to live with that until they can avenge it. It doesn't matter if USC beat 55 teams that Stanford beat if they didn't beat Stanford!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is that? No one seems to know.
Watching them play, my friends and I agreed that Ohio State seems to have the most obnoxious fans. We can't figure out why. (Maybe because the Browns and Indians and Cav's have sucked for so long its the only team they can embrace b/c of a tainted coaching staff) Most people at the table weren't even partial, but the chanting inside bothered them. (Why would you shout indoors? I don't get that. O-h-i-o? Hey, four letters, congratulations.)

USF is a young organization with alot of potential. Last year for USF to finish as one of the better Florida schools really is an accomplishment. I must say that West Virginia game last year was amazing, and the Bulls looked like a new born team, I knew it last year when they went into that Thursday night game in New Jersey to play rutgers that that was going to give them a challege. I really think that if USF were to win that game they would of rode the wave home and finished in the top 5. USF loosing that game right after getting the number 2 rank in the nation really started a bad aurora around the team, and the team kept feeding off the negativity and never really got out of that negative stage. South Florida getting on the map last year is only going to help their recruitment and that is all the South Florida Bulls are missing from being a power house team, a couple of high profile recruits which will fill seats and give them the confidence to compete with the best of them.

Where did SF end up ranked at the end of the season ? The loss means nothing in the end. We were still in the NC hunt at the end of the season.

Yeah, kosta, that Rutgers game was horrible. I just don't think they were ready to be trust into the spotlight but the more they are there, the more the kids will be used to it. Pressure!!! They are already the second best fo | |
