mmm...might disagree here a bit BB...
Oh man, you don't want to do that!
Mike Dent had his lunch handed to him in that game...
Agree, he had a terrible game. He was snapping the ball over the QB's head, or snapping it high the entire game. He must have been concerned about Moffitt.
The O-Line got manhandled....and still almost won the game..
Well, the offense still generated 437 yds of total offense. It held a 34:38 to 25:22 clock advantage.
As I said, the WVU team shot themselves in the foot. It was not like the USF game from 2006 or the Pitt game from 2007 when the opponent's defense dominated the WVU offense. WVU had 6 TO's and some of them came with WVU driving deep into USF territory.
For example:
- In the 2nd QTR, Slaton fumbles at the USF 29.
- In the 2nd QTR, White's pass to Hogan is fumbled at the USF 30.
- At the end of the 2nd QTR, Dent's snap goes over Brown's head when WVU was at the USF 2. McAffe comes in to kick a FG.
- In the 3rd QTR, Brown throws an INT at the USF 9.
- In the 4th QTR, Brown throws an INT at the USF 36.
In the end, USF got the 'W', and that is all that counts. But WVU lost that game, they were not beaten by the better team. At least that's how this homer sees it....
