THE POLLS. The pre-conceived notions that everyone fills our heads with year after year. That which is the 2/3 component of a bad system. FIVE Big 12 teams top 11?, FIVE Big East teams top 25? Okay, so we didn't get  a playoff in place; how about having the first polls until after the last weekend in September. Sure, an educated guess is nice to have around, but until some games are actually played, all this is trivial pursuit and a guessing game. Of course, this still won't cure teams jumping up 5-10 spots with just ONE win and dropping 5-10 spots with ONE loss; some agendas will never go away.
