I know Turco has had his playoff struggles in the past, but over the last two years it is hard to find a goalie that is more determined or who is playing better than Marty Turco. He has finally elevated his status to elite and may possibly be the best goalie in the league. He has struggled with Detroit in the past and if he can have another magnificent series and beat the Red Wings than I don't see how anyone can say that he isn't the best goalie in the NHL right now...
WOW, are you for real? this is a pointless thread if you really think your mind is sane. He is not even close tto being the best goaile in the league pal. I can think of about 15 better ones I would rather have! HAHAHA
Again, I said he would be the best if and when he beats Detroit, but what are you smoking if you think he isn't even in the top half of the best goalies? Did you not see him save 61 goals and only give up 1??? That's .984% save rate!!!
Your statement has credibility. Detroit is an excellent team, and although I hope Dallas wins, I think Detroit will take the series. As for the idiot reply before rmatt12's all I can say is that I hope you do a better job at work than you do trying to give an opinion on hockey, because you're a total moron.
Then again, I guess there's not much to working at the Jack in the Box drive thru other than asking, "You want fries with that?".
He isn't the best and wont be. Aside from Hasek, no one flops more than Turco and never gets called. There are much better goalies and one postseason doesn't make you the best. Turco has to prove this in a couple more postseasons and win a cup before joining the elite. Two I would list above him with their regular season and postseason successes are Giguere and Brodeur. I know that is a homer call on Giguere, but you can't deny his success in the postseason which makes him one the better goalies in the league, although I'm not sure I would say he is the best. Turco is doing an amazing job, but he gets rattled by pressure and he will be moved off his post by Homer. This series will tell us about Turco.
