McElroy/Wilks

I'm hoping Cronin does not blow his one remaining scholarship for the 2008 class, and instead saves it for 2009. Hopefully, Cincy will be able to bring in another PG in order to back up Wright.

On an unrelated note, does anyone think we'll see increased action from Darnell Wilks next year? I think Cronin is letting him develop slowly, but I know he was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, so I'm assuming he must have the necessary fundamentals to compete at the Big East level.

you know as much as i do about mcelroy. so far mick is doing a great job at keeping cincy players home.(rivals has him as a 3 star recruit)

i know gates was going to go to i.u. but when everything happen, i was happy mick got him to stay home.

wilks, man i dont know what was going on with him. how many min a game did he average last year, maybe 4.

i just dont know. was he in mick's dog house last year.?or as you say, mick is letting him develope slow? guess we just have to wait and see.

i also want to say something about his 3 star rate by rivals. i was going through some of our past players and there ranking.

eric hicks was a 3 star player by there rankings. just saying some of these 3 star players can turn into a beast. hopefully this will happen with dion dixon this year and mcelroy next year.

McElroy has decommited from UC and will no longer be going to UC to play basketball.

Believe me, this is a good thing for UC. Not a loss at all. I have seen him play a couple of times and was not impressed at all. There have been rumors that he doesn't try in school and probably wouldn't have had the grades in to get into UC in the first place.
