Well, what do you know, another high profile family having drug problems, and instead of blaming the child, we right away blame Andy for this. What a joke! This is like the Jerry Springer Show in Philly. The problem with this is that the Judge actually had it right, the kids are running the parents, namely Andy, instead of hime having control of the kids. The ones hurt through all of this are the Eagle fans themselves. Such a distraction at this time of the year is atrocious; with mini-camps coming up, and then the pre-season. Gee, who wants this cloud over your team all year? Of course this may be good news for the Philly fans, just think about it, this distraction will draw attention away from the season they will be having this year. Go Pack!

The first part of your statement is right.  If Andy Reid had to take a leave of absence last year to make a failed attempt at dealing with these problems, and if the media is going to bring up every move they make which ends up shedding a bad light on Andy Reid, then the kid is controlling the parents.  But "instead of him having control of the kids"?  Maybe add "7-10 years ago" onto that statement.  The parents might have made some poor decisions when raising their kids, but that's in the past.  This "kid" has been an adult for 7 years now and his actions combined with media attention have forced Andy Reid to babysit a 25 year old man that needs to grow up.

Exactly...if he would've been a responsible parent and taken his being a parent more seriously, perhaps his kids wouldn't be in the position they are today. I know that NFL coaches, well, any pro coach for that matter, put in hours upon hours of time away from home so they can be prepared for the next game, but they can't forget that their #1 priority should be raising their kids to be responsible adults and citizens.
