I have been all for getting our logo on the 50 for a LONG time. Well here is a petition if you would like to support it. Its a great way to show that you fans still care and would love to have the same respect shown to you who have PAID for the stadium that the Richardsons have shown to the NFL.
I think that is an awesome idea. it would look great and if Chad Johnson would try to stop and pose on it, put a trap door underneath it and swallow him up....LOL
THAT WOULD BE THE BEST IDEA EVER!!! We need to start a petition for that. If opposing players try to trounce or pose or stomp on etc, on our logo, a trap door should swallow them up!
Hell yes it would be a good idea!
Maybe we could even get the full Panther on there, I'll link you guys

Go Panthers!
You may have seen the petition, floating around Panthers' message boards and popping up regularly on our blogs. Its point is to get the team to switch its midfield logo in Bank of America Stadium from the NFL's famed "Shield" to Carolina's stylized big cat.
The petition was organized by a group called Fans For The Logo, although no individuals are named. The explanation of the petition reads in part: "This petition is to show Mr. Richardson (owner Jerry) an example of how much it means to the fans for us to have our own logo on our football field. What would Dallas be without the star or even the Colts without their logo? Fans take pride and ownership in some of the simplest things."
And while I can think of many more important things to spend one's time on, as fans they have every right to pursue this one.
So I called the club to see if changing the midfield logo was a possibility, or even on the team's radar at this point.
A team spokesman said there are no plans to make changes at this time. He reiterated that Carolina officials believe that the NFL logo reflects the respect for the league and reinforces its popularity, just as the script "Carolina Panthers" in the end zones reflect the popularity of the team.
Still, the team knows about the drive.
"The Panthers are aware of it (the petition) and appreciate the passion of their fans," the spokesman said.
So that, at least at this point, is that.

Seen this poll! Love it! Over 90% says alot. I might put these stats up on our website.
Either way, thanks for your continued support, please continue to spread the word because thats what going to make the difference. We are aware of the Observers story, however that was done on the 3rd or 4th day of the petition. We have come a long way since then.
We will continue to accept signatures until the start of trainng camp and at that time we will print it off and have it hand delivered to the Panthers. As of right now its almost a 100 page document!
Keep up the good work and thank you for your support!
I got a better idea - considering the Panthers home records lately, how about putting the logo of the visiting team in the center of the field each week ?
Heard an insider's view of this whole thing the other day on local Charlotte sportstalk radio: Jerry Richardson feels the NFL logo shows loyalty to the league over personal pride = enough said. It's not going to change.
Apparently Richardson is real dedicated to the league rather than the fans. He was one of the owners who voted to end the labor agreement. That definetely hurts us. But I do not believe that the NFL Shield in the middle of our field is loyalty to the league. It isnt the league's stadium; it is NC and SC's stadium, we paid for it and should have the final say of what logo hits the 50 yard line. Im all in tell me where to sign!!!
We respect and understand Mr. Richardsons decision to host the NFL logo on the field. However he has always been able to easily brush it aside. Now that the fans are speaking out about this and have documentation showing they do care its not going to be so easy to brush off.
hanks for your support and keep up the great work folks!
Please email every Panther fan you know and tell them to sign!
Does anybody really think a different field logo, or different colored unis, or even one of mlf's asian gals singing the national anthem -- really going to affect a game outcome??
I got on this site because I thought its fans wanted to talk about Panthers, and Panther players, and coaching styles, and play calling, and w/l results, etc.
