This could stack up to be a huge penalty for Alabama State. Hopefully many of this is false. Who would do such a thing just for the sake of winning games? Twenty three?

I live less than 60 miles from Monkeytown and had no idea they even had a football program.  Who cares!  It is MONTGOMERY.

Just like the FIU infractions they're slapping a lil guy around because its easier than pissing off a money-maker.

That is what all my college buddies who grew up there called it so it just kinda stuck.

Honestly this one might deserve an atheltic suspension, or death penalty.  The large amount of violation and the fact that it took two years to investigate is absurd.  And I hate to say it, but here is another Alabama/Southern program with massive issues that the NCAA had to look into.

Killdinger

You could be the biggest idiot i have ever read.  Seriuosly that is the most sterotypical statement I have ever heard.  What about USC and Reggie trying to keep his statements away from the NCAA.  If you knew anything you wouldl know that the University of Alabama was put on probation because of booster trying to buy players not the coaches or there staff.   Do a little research or have a little knowledge before you throw idiotic statements out there.

You have to live here to understand the mass amount of corruption that runs through Alabama State.  There are no compliance directors here.  There's no one to train anyone who would want the job.  Big time programs have at least 1-3 compliance people per sport, while schools like ASU have 1 or 2 people to get a whole athletic program in order.  The NCAA will probably sweep it under the run, slap then with some scholarship losses, and move on, because it's the idea of "we're doing our job" that the NCAA wants, not to kill a program.  They'll never do that again.

This is not just 23 violations. it is 23 seperate rules broken multiple times. The actual number of rules violations is OVER 500!!! According to WSFA Montgomery.  The improper monetary incentives to recruits alone accounts for almost 100 violations.

The depth of the corruption and rules shenanegins in this sad affair is not really touched on in this article.

Everyone here in Montgomery fully expects ASU to get the death penalty for the football team, and possibly even both basketball teams too.  it has even been mentioned that the NCAA may completely strip ASU of ALL SPORTS.

The NCAA isn't gonna kill off ASU....they can't justify it in this day and age.  Especially when HBCU's are the underbelly and the most underfunded portion of the NCAA's teams.  Of course the news doesn't go that deep....not everything is privy to news cameras and reporters.  But we all know who's ultimately responsible...and his name is on the basketball arena.  Get rid of him and his cronies, and maybe there would be enough money to fund a knowledgeable compliance department.
