As fair minded NFL fans and with the release of the Walsh "evidence" we now know that all this crap from the Boston Herald (So much for local press favorites) article a day before the SB is all false. In a statement from Greg Aiello of the NFL press office, and I quote;

This said, we Patriots fans will not hold this against any of you who doubted what we already knew. The Patriots did violate NFL rules (1st game of last season, actually 1st half) then proceeded to brow beat the rest of the league going undefeated in the regular season....Giants did kick our butt in the SB.....So....manning boy, bleat, Strange and all the rest of you can appologize here. As a matter of fact, I'll make it easy for you, just cut and paste the following.

TO ALL PATRIOTS FANS, I AM SORRY.

“This is consistent with what the Patriots had admitted they had been doing, consistent with what we already knew,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press.

There you go???? You want an apology? Are you kidding? They were cheating in the AFC Championship game, and you want an apology... Buddy, it's time that you go back to being simply a BoSox fan, where steroids and outspending small-market teams is the norm. What a joke!!!! Patriots' videotapes include Steelers in 2002 AFC title game Thursday, May 08, 2008 The Associated Press <!-- end story_image_box_size_1 -->

NEW YORK -- Former New England Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh sent the NFL eight videotapes that show New England violated league rules by recording opposing coaches' playcalling signals.

One of the opponents were the Steelers in the 2002 AFC Championship game.

The New York Times first reported the story on its Web site last night.

The Steelers tape, the Times said, had been edited to show Steelers coaches signaling plays, followed by two different camera angles of the actual plays that were called.

The tapes include signals by coaches of five opponents in six games from 2000-02, but don't include video from the St. Louis Rams' walkthrough before the 2002 Super Bowl.

The NFL said it received a letter from Michael Levy, the lawyer for Walsh, detailing the tapes that were scheduled to arrive today at the league's New York offices.

The tapes sent to the NFL show the Patriots recorded signals in regular-season games against Miami, Buffalo, Cleveland, San Diego and the Steelers.

"This is consistent with what the Patriots had admitted they had been doing, consistent with what we already knew," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press.

Walsh, who worked for New England from 1997 to 2003, agreed to turn over the tapes and other evidence by today. He's scheduled to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell Tuesday about New England's taping of
