Why is the media, and those surrounding this story, so quick to brush off this latest revelation by Matt Walsh, that 6 more games were taped, including the 2002 AFC Championship game????
It's f*cking cheating!!!!! Flat out, bold face, f*cking cheating.
Goodell looks like a total dumbass for destroying the first set of tapes. Now there is 8 more. 8 more!!!!!
Do you really think they've TRULY GIVEN FORTH ALL THE EVIDENCE???? Not even close.
I have no respect for the Patriots or any of their players. They're all a complete bunch of cheaters. I have no respect for the so called dynasty, it's a total scam. I have no respect for Tom Brady. He's totally been helped by taping defensive calls. I'm convinced Bill Belechick is the biggest fraud thrust forth on society. Think about it, imagine knowing what a defense is going to do before the play happens. My little sister could handle that. Way to go Tom Brady.

I was expecting some pats fans to get on here and reply. Let me ask you, since you all seem to know so much, what other teams could have been "exposed"?
Please, tell me. I'd love to hear it.
Facts: Patriots cheated in at least a dozen games. There is now proof of this.
Facts: Patriots cheated not only during the regular season, but also during the playoffs as well.
What facts do you have? Nothing. So keep calling me an idiot. You're obviously biased b/c you are Patriots fans. So it's impossible for you to attempt to see this objectively. So I'm telling you from an objective standpoint, I don't consider the Patriots to be Super Bowl Champions. They are cheating cowards.
Peace!

If there are 8 more tapes from 2000 to 2002 that Matt Walsh either copied or took from the Patriots then just imagine how many more tapes were recorded. I would guess that those 8 tapes were not the only tapes recorded between 2000 and 2002.
Imagine how many tapes were recorded between 2002 and 2007 when the Patriots got caught. I would guess a lot more than the few the Patriots originally turned over to Roger Goodell. There are probably bookshelves full of tapes.
The Patriots most likely have not turned over all the tapes so they continue to defy and break the rules and requests of Roger Goodell.
The Patriots would not have broken the rules to record tapes for so many years unless it gave them an advantage. Bill Belichick is to smart to do something for so long if it offered no benefit.
Since it is obvious that there was an advantage gained by cheating all the Patriots records and Championships between 2000 and 2007 will be questioned and doubted. I am sorry Bill Belichick has tainted the Patriots accomplishments but the facts are clear.

Exactly. You nailed it. Facts are what is most disappointing here. It's not a bunch of conjecture. The Patriots have some unbelievable players. Teddy Bruschi is one of my favorite NFL players, maybe ever. They may have won super bowls on their own.
However, none of their accomplishments have merit anymore. They all cheated.

I'm a Lions fan and not a Patriots fan and think this is stupid. Does anyone actually believe that the Pats are the only team to have ever done this? It is not suprising that there are people willing to run forward to give up the Pats there is no loyalty to people that leave. There is a high amount of bitterness for coaches that leave the Pats and are willing to break the unspoken code of keeping your mouth shut on what your previous team does.
DCN88- Either you are not so bright or are just bitter to believe that this is the only team to have done this. Every team looks for an edge and tries pushing the rules as much as possible, talk to any old coach and they will let you know this. Ditka was one of many coaches who thought this was getting blown out of proportion. This is done at the high school level and this is a part of any competitive game. Coaches coach cheating into offensive lineman just cheating you can get away with. If you can show me one team that does not try and bend the rules then I would be behind you. The Pats broke the rules and have been punished appropriately.
Goodell did the right thing and has been trying to close the book on this for a while. It is Dillholes like you that can't just let it go and want to hear more and more. Let's get on with football and stop whining about how you feel Belichek or Brady don't deserve anything. When they are in the HOF you can boycott the ceremony then, until then shut up.

DCN88,
Man the media has absolutely sucked you in on this. An NFL spokesperson said that these tapes include nothing that hadn't already been disclosed already, so in other words there is no new information here, we are just revisiting the same stupid storyline. Plus, The Patriots were not fined for making the tapes, they were fined because they taped from an illegal location. It doesn't justify what was done, I still think it is outside the lines of sportsmanship, but the taping wasn't the problem, it was the location of the taping.
Also, you want proof of who else has done it, well how about jimmy Johnson's comments on the subject. He basically admitted that he had done it with his championship Cowboys in the 90's, but saw no benefit from the taping. He even said most coaches in the league did it.
I don't agree that the Pats did it, I'm a Pats fan, and I hate Bellichek becasue he is an arrogant jerk. What he did was unsportsmanlike and "bush" league, but the only rule he broke was taping from an illegal location, which was on the field.
