All the best wishes to Gardi and his family.  He's a heck of a manager and is a large part of the success of the club, in spite of the lack of support from the owner's pockets.

My most sincere condolences go out to te Gardenhire family on their loss. Not only is he an excellent manager and one of the main reasons for the sucess of the Twins but he is also one of the "good guys" in baseball today.

totally agree jelly I to know the sad reality of ownership with tight pockets ( David Glass) he is the CEO of the cheapest company on the planet.

Good luck and best wishes he is one helluva manager and I have enjoyed watching his teams destroy my poor Royals for years now.

I wouldn't trade Gardy for any manager in the league, I'm glad he's back and am praying that his family gets through these trying times... I know how being back on the baseball field can make events like this seem distant, I only hope it works for Gardenhire as well

My heart goes out to Ron and his family.  May his brother rest in peace.  Gardi is a heck of a manager, deserves nothing but the best.  Good luck this season guys.

RIP

I didn't think that I would respect and love a manager more than Tom Kelly. It was a sad day when he retired. Man did the Twins organization luck out when Gardenhire stepped in. Gardenhire is an outstanding manager and in my opinion the best skipper in baseball. It's been a real joy watching Tom Kelly and than Ron Gardenhire at the helm of the Twins for the last 20 plus years. My condolonces go out to him and his family and we can't wait to have him back in the managers seat.

The Twins have been a remarkable franchise what with tight pockets at the top.

I am an Oakland A's fan and commiserate with your budget conundrum. Even my rather athletic A's have some dollars to spend and yet, your Twins spank us regularly.

'Gardi' has massaged that roster very nicely, thus maintaining an outstanding run that the 'Twinkies' have experienced recently.

Yup, I have to agree.  Gardenhire is a good one.

God Bless your family Ron.  The best manager in baseball.  He is a teacher and does more with less than anyone else.   Cannot imagine what he would accomplish with a payroll like the Yankees

As a Cleveland Indians fan, I have seen a lot of Twins games through the years.  Gardenhire does a great job with the players he has.  He seems to bring the best out of them at all times.  If he had a bigger payroll, he would be in the playoffs every year.  Sorry for their loss.  It is hard to lose a family member so young.
