what is up with Verlander this year...he really has struggledcommand seems off...i missed the whole thing, but Sox announcers were talking about the coaching staff saying something about taking something off his fastball so he can go deeper into games? made no sense...

Sox announcers were talking about the coaching staff saying something about taking something off his fastball so he can go deeper into games? made no sense... Maybe they think he's overthrowing...leading to control problems and tiring early in the game. You'd think the Tigers pitching coach would have had enough time to have made some progress towards correcting mechanics like that....but who am I...certainly don't qualify as a pitching expert...did even play in High School! LOL
