Much better the second time around, even though I had to type it out manually instead of copying and pasting. I hate that you can't copy and paste even from MS Word or Notepad without the site totally jacking up the formatting. Oh well...

Okay, so how did Amare Stoudemire (not a Center) and Yao Ming (injured for final 27 games of season) steal first place votes away from Dwight Howard? Also, is this really showing how sad a state of affairs the Center position is in currently in the NBA?

Someone explain how Iverson and Carmello didn't even make the third team. Has their past troubles with the law affected how they have been viewed as players?
I noticed Iverson wasn't talked abotu the whole season when it came to top players even though he's been 3rd in scoring behind (Kobe (mvp) and Lebron). He was always top 10 in assists and also top 5 for the most part in steals.
Camello was 4th in scoring, I believe top 15 in rebounds.
I mean Denver did get swept the first round of the playoffs. But how can these players be over looked??? while players like Yao and Amare make it.
I've noticed that this year with the NBA.. before they start analyzing player skill they first look to the team record and the team's possiblity of winning a champsionship. Although they look at that, please remember that Denver only finished like 9 or so games behind the Lakers and Hornets and did have a 50 win season.
Not only that, both players were starters in the NBA Allstar game.
I would have made a topic on this issue but it's my first reply or post through CBS sportsline. I felt compelled to at least bring these two players in consideration.

i know it is growing quite pathetic but the center position is looking pretty good in the future
bynum and oden will come back next year, and should be pretty good
howard will probably be a perennial all nba pick unless bynum and oden contend with him
but anyways the center position should be improving soon
yet it is still far inferior compared to the last two decades where we had amazing centers like shaq, hakeem, ewing, david robinson, and others

Iverson might have an arguement for belonging on this team, but there are at least 15 better basketball players in the league Carmelo Anthony. Anthony can play offense ,but that is about it. Denver will probably never win a championship with Melo as their franchise player. The real intriguing question is how do the following players make it: Nowitzki, Deron Williams, Paul Pierce, Yao Ming and Manu Ginobli. Nowkitzi can't get his team out of the first round, Wiiiams is good( just not that good), Ming missed allmost the whole year, Ginobli might actually be deserving, but P | |
