Different strokes I guess. It is our diferences that make us interesting. See, I found that post by looking at your last post in my favorites! LOL. I'm generally not interested in reading a Yankees/Red Sox thread, so to avoid sorting through them I use my favorites. If I have some time to burn, or am just looking around at random threads, I will view the main board, but if I actually want to post, I use the aformentioned method.
For all the kvetching and moaning from some in here about having too much Sox/Yankees banter, on days when there is almost nothing coming from either side, nobody steps up and starts yapping about some other team or topicIn all reality this is the 1st day I could see other threads I posted on a few of the, The only thing that would make this board even better is if the Red Sox and Yankees both lost the night before. One wins the other loses the board is over run. Both win it is quiter. Both lose Silence form thethe Yankees faithful and RSN. What a happy day it would be. Total euphoria would come about if they both went on 3 game losing streaks. Wow wait that could happen. The Yankees play the Tigers and the Red sox play the Twins. Go Tigers Go Twins
That would make for one hell of a baseball novel or film. A Braves fan and a Met fan getting married or even worse-- a Redsox and Yankee fan. Sheesh, talk about Armageddon Better get Bruce Willis if the latter happens. Lol

I like days like this where the board is quiet. It makes it much easier to find the vote off threads.
I could understand ark1964 not really wanting to see so many posts about the Red Sox and the Yankees as a fan of another team. But then his next post was about finding the vote off threads easier..........ummm.......I think you just made an argument why we NEED Red Sox and Yankees threads. Vote off threads are a complete waste of space. Instead of participating in the vote off threads, talk about your own team. If your own team is not playing well, are there any good players in the minors? Talk about SOMETHING!! I tend to be one of those "evil" Yankees fans that types in the Red Sox/Yankees threads, but I can talk about any team. If I'm unsure about who/what is being talked about, I will look at a number of baseball websites I have favorited. I will learn about someone/something new and see if I can contribute to the overall baseball discussion.
It just seems kind of weird to me, as a Yankees fan, to be talking about how badly off the Padres must be to have A) traded for Jim Edmonds and B) released Jim Edmonds before Mother's Day. Or, for that matter, not signing Milton Bradley or Mike Cameron.
Maybe wondering why the Mariners still think Richie Sexson is useful could take up some time. Or how scary the Rays will be if they manage to sign James Shields to a long term contract. Carlos Pena is tearing the cover off the ball for them, and they have been pests to the AL East even when they stunk.
Did someone nail the door of Peter Angelos' office shut? The Orioles are winning! Who knew letting Erik Bedard go would improve their pitching staff?
